  1. Yeah I agree and still sometimes feel much younger than I am. I can attribute that to having 3 great kids that keep me busy outside of work. Thats one of the reasons I shave my head,I have alot of grey hair lol. My Swiss heritage keeps me looking younger than I am too. Be young at heart my mom always said. Thats the best way.
  2. Nice work,Ive helped several friends reroof their house, and most recently my own. It is alot of work, especially in hot climates.
  3. Agree to size/weight ratio of the packs. lol 28 isnt that old brother. My wife is 29 she says she is old all the time, wait till you hit 40+ like me I say.
  4. Welcome to the crew. Im not locked into one platform either. I have Porter Cable,Bosch,Dewalt. Flexvolt I could care less about but it does seem cool. Im a machinist so all my drills and such are diy useage so I dont have the need for the power house stuff. I like the new lights Dewalt and milwaukee have out, honestly wouldnt mind some of those. Im waiting for them new bosch 12v impacts too become available hopefully soon here in July.
  5. That looks nice man.Just remind the little man that those railroad ties can give a gnarly splinter.
  6. Freud and diablo are one and the same.
  7. Makita or Bosch, F that made in China milwaukee junk
  8. Yeah there is alot of crazy machining tech nowadays. Its honestly advancing so quickly its hard to keep up. I grew up doing old school manual machining turning handles and I still like manuals. CNC can get boring sometimes especially with large quantities or production runs. Alot of machine shops dont even have manual lathes or mills or any support equipment but to our shop thats our bread and butter. We pride on mixing old school tech with newer tech so its a good mix. Engineers nowadays design some crazy ass nonsense very often and sometimes you have no choice but to use cnc to not only save time but to just stay competitive.
  9. Looking good bro. We do some welding here and there. Got a few lincolns around the shop. Practice makes perfect bro, keep at it. Dont forget the sunscreen
  10. I wish it was mine. One day ill have one in my garage just gotta get 3 phase electrical setup. Althou I will be the main person running and programming it. I work in a small shop now, just me and the boss and one helper. Low stress, and fun work environment. Hard to find that combo in shops around here. For a while I was just doing only programming for a large company,I missed running machines.
  11. Ive been posting some machining stuff on my instagram for those who arent following yet. Doing some Biomedical stuff for UC Davis and a few other medical companies now. Just got a brand new Haas VF2 SS CNC mill in the shop last week. Getting stuff situated to get it up and running as we can. The new control is similar but has changed in so many ways from the Haas ive run in past.
  12. Another vote for Diablo blades here. Ive heard good things about Forrest blades too.
  13. this, pics and such were leaked on instagram already.
  14. Thanks gents and right back at ya. I agree Chris you are in the club even when its in the oven brother. enjoy the peace whileyoucan dude haha.
  15. Ok if you look behind the tools, ours is like a tar paper like stuff with steel mesh and stuuco pretty normal for around here. You can also see the horizontal 2x4's. Id be finding a contractor thats reputable and ask them questions, make sure things are to code. I imagine Regopit would totally know how to help you out for sure. Perhaps send him a pm.
  16. wow that is crazy odd man,how old is your house? My house was built in 1958,it has a stuuco exterior. In my garage I have probably only about a 48 inch section that is unfinished the rest of it is insulated and dry walled. Dont think there is any Tyvek or anything on my house but you can see the paper backing from the stuff behind the stuuco. There is also 2x4 pieces alternating between the studs which is normal, odd yours does not. It adds alot of strength. Ill try and post a pic here shortly.
  17. very cool man, those are amazing looking.
  18. That is badass man. Celebrate!,Celebrate!,Dance to the music of life. Most excellent craftsmanship sir.
  19. Awesome, thats exactly how I feel about it too. Probably one of the best tools ive ever owned.
  20. Do your saw some favors and use wax sticks or dry lube for the blade. That stuff you used isnt exactly the proper type of stuff for it. I know on some Deltas ive used there is an adjustment not only for tension but also leveling of the blade pulley. When those wear or get misaligned it can cause blade travel issues.
