  1. This is the best price for impacts I have found. http://www.hfqpdb.com/coupons/200_ITEM_13_PIECE_1_2__DRIVE_DEEP_WALL_IMPACT_SOCKET_SETS_1425342965.4183.jpg
  2. I'm in the same boat. Most of my sockets are 3/8 and I figured I should get some 1/2 impact sockets. Looks like Harbor Freight is the best deal $25-20%=$20.
  3. I have used a 1/2 to 3/8 adapter to use 3/8 sockets with my 1/2 air impact.
  4. I have the 2763 coming tomorrow. I will be using it to loosen rusted bolts and for lug nuts. To tighten nuts I plan to tighten with the switch in position 1 (100lbs). For smaller nuts i plan to use my 2462 (83lbs) with the 3/8 socket adapter. In both cases I will finish torque with my torque wrench. Not even thinking of the 2654 (200lbs) it seems weak for real rusted nuts and too strong for smaller nuts. Your 2653 (133lbs) would be a great companion for a 2763. My air impact (250lbs) has failed to remove some rusted nuts that is why I'm getting the 2763 powerhouse. The 2654 (200lbs) is not as strong as my air impact (250lbs) so you may be disappointed with it.
  5. Well I quit looking and ordered a 2763-20 from HD. If they have a sale hopefully I can price match it.
  6. Did CPO replace or refund malfunctioning tools?
  7. I am hesitant on reconditioned from CPO. I bought two M18 drill & 1/4 hex impact kits from CPO when they where on sale Christmas time. One drill was pretty beat-up compared to the other drill and the two 1/4 hex impacts where in much better shape. I would suspect the 1/2 hex impact would have a high amount of use like the M18 drills. It is temping though.
  8. I need to get this impact (2763-20) soon and can find it for $219 all over. Anyone know where I can get it for less or with a extra tool or kit?
  9. Sears has these on sale. I am always switching from dikes to long nose pliers. Wonder if these are any good. http://www.sears.com/craftsman-2-in-...p-00944889000P
  10. Just have your wife take you to HD to look for carpet & tile. The bad memories. Kept me out of HD for a month!
  11. Can't you get a a addon to put on your existing saw?
  12. You have to try the M12 fuel stuff.
  13. I went to HD the other day to get some Makita Gold bits but they where next to the cordlesstools. I started looking at the M18 fuel stuff and ended up leaving without the bits.
  14. I used one of these for years leaving my electric drill in the truck. I used it to drill a entrance hole into homes to run a wire inside. One hole per job that took 30 seconds. Finding a electric plug available to outside the house unrolling a extension cord then re-rolling the cord took much longer and I my productivity was measured. I used the most efficient easy method available to me. If I had a cordless drill available I would have used it, but that was BC (Before Cordless).
  15. Let me put it this way. Whenever I see a problem that needs fixing I see RED.
  16. Yeh I just read the reviews on the set and see it is a weak piece of xxxx. I let the cheap side take over. It's after christmas and everybody's happy but my wallet.
  17. Anyone have the Prosaw kit? http://www.homedepot.com/p/PRO-SERIES-19-Piece-Hole-Saw-Set-with-Case-PS07500/202717398 Looks like a good deal 13 diffrent saws for less than $20.
  18. Unsafe? Danger I'm In. Where do I get them?
  19. So the Dewalt flextorque and maxfit are diffrent. Since my local HD does not carry flextorque I'm going for the makita gold. I may get the maxfit to compare the two.
  20. Now I know what that thing that came with my table saw is for.
  21. Last week a bulb burned out in my garage so I got some outdoor CFL lights for my garage. They where dull for 2-3 minutes before brighting up and it was not real cold (only 40 degrees) imagine how long they will be dull and flicker when it is colder. ANNOYING! I took them back and got a couple Led bulbs from Home Depot. My Home Depot has some 800 lumen Phillips Led bulbs on sale. I first got two of these bulbs in the Daylight version for $4.97 each but while bright, the color (5000k) was too blue. I went back and got two more of these bulbs in the soft white version for $3.97 and a couple double bulb adapters for $2.47. The combination of the two color bulbs gave a nice bright 1600 lumen glow for only $11.41. Now the garage is much brighter than with the two 100 watt bulbs I had before. I went from 200 watts to 40 watts with the Leds, now lets see if my electric bill shows a savings.
  22. The Makita Impact gold's are about twice the price of the Dewalt Maxfit bits @ HD I'll try the Mavfit bits first unless told otherwise.
  23. Looking at Home Depot I see Dewalt MAXFIT bits are these the same as Dewalt flex torque?
  24. This has probably been discussed here before but I did a few searches and didn't come up with anything definative. I'm Looking for some phillips #2 hex bits. Who makes the best?
  25. There are coupons to get this light from HF for free.
