  1. Here's a great review that you guys should watch. Looks fantastic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqg1mwsoEFI#t=15
  2. CPO has finally shipped my order, christ...going on week 6 now. UPS tracking says it'' be here in 3 days, which is rather impressive since it's still in Ontario, Canada. Anyone get theirs yet or get shipping confirmations?
  3. That's a considerable jump, going to eat batteries for breakfast... brushless XR?
  4. ...huh? A 5ah battery doesn't provide more amperage than a 2.0ah battery. Otherwise what you're stating would imply that all of these brands are keeping the motors small because they have access to smaller ah batteries.
  5. I don't know, I've been so busy preparing for an upcoming trip to Anchorage I haven't been able to call, they're only open M-F.
  6. I could excuse your laziness for not reading the whole thread, but good god man it's the first comment on this page. >.> 90min.
  7. Only thing I can figure is copyright infringement fears are why dewalt has held back with their battery tech, they're going with bluetooth which is cool, but not where it's really necessary, just more consumer cost. It would be quite easy to make a parallel adapter to support an extra battery as well for really heavy applications. They also have some of the slowest charging batteries on the market, and this to me is the real achilles heel. I mean I love my dewalt tools but they make you buy twice the batteries that you'd not need if not for the extended charging times. Makita has cut the time's in half in comparison and I think now Milwaukee is in tow. Capacities don't make as much sense as charging times do, you double your capacity and double your cost and double your already doubled charging time is far too excessive. For instance, if the compact 2ah batteries charged in say 15min, would you even bother buying a huge bulky high capacity battery in the first place? I wouldn't. You could literally run all day long on 3 batteries non stop (in all actuality 2 would do it but they'd get hot and delay charging). I think I have 9 batteries now to keep up with my demanding day, and 2 are 5.0's so I can run with 2 or more tools simultaneously all day. That's kind of silly.
  8. So there's finally a review up for this saw on HD, here it is: "just got the saw in today . the saw is Great, but can not belive it only comes with one 3ah battery not too happy about that at all . you would think Dewalt would put a 4Ah or 5ah battery in it Pros: AccurateCons: only one battery"I pointed out on this forum that the model number associated with the battery was 3ah, but someone here said that it wasn't shipping with the 3ah but the 4ah and it was a misprint. Seems I might have been right after all. Boo.
  9. Dewalt just took a #2 in their corduroy jeans...
  10. If CPO does that I'll cancel my order tomorrow.
  11. They were in stock initially at CPO and I think International Tool. They still show as in stock there.
  12. So I ordered one of these when they launched at CPO and I still haven't received my order, I think they've fudged up for it to have taken this long so I'm going to call tomorrow and ream some ass. Anyone else get theirs yet? I haven't heard anything on it in a while.
  13. I think you've seen my post but I've had it for a few weeks now, works pretty good and has pretty decent performance. I love the variable speed and the light weight the most out of the unit. My purpose for it is cleaning my tools at the end of the day, table saw, SCMS, inside the tool trailer, and the jobsite when I'm finished I just blow all the dust away. For this it is perfect, but if you're interested in cleaning up the back 40 with this forget it, stick to a backpack gas unit for the big projects. It's already on sale even cheaper at Amazon right now, $180.49 gets you the whole shabang, which is pretty much the tool for free. 10 left in stock right now.
  14. That jam release...titties. Dewalt is crushing my profit margin this year.
  15. I just hope the brad nailer doesn't fair so poorly. I need that thing to be a rockstar.
  16. I'd hardly say it's here, it'll likely be months. I can't wait to see some reviews of this unit, it's pretty much my last missing dewalt necessity.
  17. I've always joked that I chose construction because no matter what my job would be one of the few that a robot couldn't do within my lifetime. I'm not laughing anymore. They're 3D printing entire houses now.
  18. Don't know about lucky. My luck only runs as far as my credit card limits. =-P Here's to hoping this next year I make a lot of money with my new toys. I feel it will all be worth it. So excited to play.
  19. Guys, turns out that this is active, they are giving an extra $20 off at checkout. I believe this to be a mistake, so I'd jump on this and buy it from CPO right now if you're brave enough to buy without anyone's reviews. I'll be giving mine once I receive the unit and have time to test it. I did NOT plan to buy this so early but that is a really good deal that nobody will be able to match for a while. Even if you get 10% off at HD online ($40 off) tax still gets you. Also have a new DWE7491 on the way and a set of Knipex pliers from HD as well so I'm going to have a loaded week.
  20. Also did you get the extra $20 off at checkout? The model number isn't listed in the not included list.
  21. How is this for sale and their aren't even any reviews yet? Don't tool review sites usually get early units to give their .02?
  22. That table is great, but what is your floor made of? Damn is that sharp!
  23. Ah, I live in Islamorada. You drive right by my house. =-)
  24. At that price I'd buy two and I don't even need them.
