Does anyone know if Makita has ever sold the DDF481 and the DTD148 as a kit? Reason I asked is because they never seem to sell both together.
-
Was having a bit of a chin wag with my local Dewalt dealer on the new flexvolt gear coming out and I asked him whats the prices on the Dewalt dcs575T2 cir saw with 2 6Ah batteries and he was abit reluctant to say but him been a mate he checked for me its coming in at €600- $679
-
You can say that again Im guessing €500 minimum for some of the new stuff. We always get shafted in Ireland.
-
When are they releasing the prices I'm hoping the recip saw isn't too expensive but than again its all new stuff so I reckon there be a premium on it.
-
So many goodies coming out, Was going to jump ship to Makita but I think i hang on that bit longer I got my eye on that new recip saw and the circular saw.

My only Makita gear, I'm hoping to replace it as the batteries are just trashed now. I'm holding out for something new to pop up before I take the plunge.

Yeah my haul is only small compared to some people iv a very well insulated house so I run a small stove noting major Il get 3 or 4 winters out of it. Having said that I remember last year an elderly man rang me up to do a job for him, to process some firewood I said sure, went out to look at his logs and my jaw dropped he had about 6 articulated truck loads of logs sitting there for about 4 years! it took days and days to cut through them.

To be honest It depends on the winter sometimes in Ireland we get a wet but a mild winter of a dry and cold winter, I use a small stove so the wood in the photos will last me about 3 winters maybe more.

Is it true Milwaukee are known for poor quality tools?
StrippedScrew replied to JcDino's topic in Power Tools
I thought Milwaukee is owned by a Chinese company called TTI? -
What are the prices on these? liking the fatter one.
-
My eyes my eyes
-
Not only that but sometimes the store owners jack up the price purely for profit despite already making a profit i.e Milwaukee isnt as big in Ireland as the US as say Dewalt so when a shop gets it in the prices are huge. The 2nd gen Milwaukee impact driver is around €700 in a local place which is $788.

Same here in Ireland power tools can be just ridiculous, iv seen tools four times more expensive than the US or Canada. That been said I always buy my tools from the UK.
