  1. Yeah i tried the wool and it worked pretty good only downside is getting into the markings as they are recessed into the steel.
  2. I have a steel Stanley framing square and like many people im sure have the same problem of it rusting, even using a rust preventing spray it still rust. I was wondering whats the best method of removing the rust?
  3. Id love a bigger shop my tiny 64sq foot shop is getting cramped.
  4. Despite getting hot and humid days in the summer most of the year is in the mid to low teens and under ten most of the winter here in Ireland but we get a lot of rain. Cold weather doesn't bother me but I hate wet and really humid weather.
  5. I also like to add for corded tools sometimes you can pick up a great bargain in the secondhand market. I seen a Milwaukee sawzall in great condition go for €120 their about 300 new. Depending on your location of course.
  6. Never tried a battery operated grinder im still hanging on to my old as the hills Hitachi. How long does the battery last per use?
  7. Agree with the above tools all depend on what your doing or what you intend to do. I know alot of diyers and carpenters etc who are only using the humble 12v line up of tools.
  8. Shes a member of the family lol.
  9. Used my trusty Dalluge 21oz milled face hammer to bang together some saw horses.
  10. Iv a sparky mate and his using nothing but NWS he says their worth the money but If you can push the extra cost I think Knipex are they way to go.
  11. When setting concrete screws I just drill 1mm smaller of whatever size screw im using never had any problem.
  12. I have to admit I prefers Bosch's implementation of stopping the blade than SawStops. Also this patent war is getting out of hand from all across the spectrum from apple to Samsung to Bosch. Safety in power tools should be universal in all manufactures.
  13. Main drink for me is Guinness, but I do like imported Heineken. The normal Heineken is just piss in a can.
  14. If I had a spare five grand just for tools? Stihl 661 Full set of John Neeman timber framing chisels Bosch's new site saw with the blade stop thingy New combi drill.
  15. That is a beast of a drill im really torn between this drill and others. my aging dewalt is really showing its age and the batteries are next to no good now not holding a charge anymore.
  16. I wish you could buy them in Ireland without having to import them.
  17. I'm a professorial tool buyer Im in the tree care business, il be doing my tree climbing test soon.
  18. Yip I have a speed square from Johnson and its a very useful tool.
  19. I know its a 12" but the Makita LS1216L is worth a loot at as well
  20. The Makita LS1018L is also a nice saw.
  21. At the moment I'm with Dewalt I just have the brushless impact and the 995 drill reason why I went with this is because their was a deal on them in my local dewalt center so it had the best price to performance when I brought two years ago. Saying that dewalt are abit slow coming out with new stuff thats why I'm taking a chance and trying out Milwaukee x2 when it comes out. Makita aren't bad either they have a nice large range of tools the biggest in the industry I think.
  22. I be making the move myself as soon as the second gen stuff comes out but saying that iv only 2 dewalt cordless tools so it wont be much of a hit, depending on pricing of course Ireland seems really expensive for Milwaukee gear I'm happy enough with my corded dewalt gear for now.
