  1. Like that ringing sound when you use an all steel hammer striking a nail.
  2. Ok its no secret we are all tool freaks here no point in hiding it But lets be honest there has got to be that one tool you love using but the sound can be irritating sometimes for example, I was in a tight enough space today putting in some small lags with my impact driver and I forgot to bring some ear protection as using the impact driver in confined spaces is deafening but boy it is so grating surely I'm not the only one. Another shout out would have to be the power planer just sounds like the wood is screaming for me to stop.
  3. Should have went Dewalt Yeah they seem to be a bit of wobble. Is it noticeable when using the drill?
  4. I'm sure there is something to this, a defective model or some underlining issues hope it gets fixed rapidly.
  5. Yip from a distance it might have looked like I was have an argument with a handsaw.
  6. OK I had it, was ripping some sheeting today and the sun was beating down on me and I was sweating buckets to get a job done so the day was drawing to an end and I guess I was been careless while cutting and I cut my circular saw cable in half, I was so pissed off with myself I had to rip another two sheets down by handsaw. So having said that I put in a pre order for the Flexvolt Circular saw with 2 6ah batteries. Im going cordless
  7. That's a nice price but I have to import it and I don't think the warranty works over here in Ireland
  8. Not sure but my understanding is that on the chuck jaws they are flat facets that help with drill bit slippage, I could be totally wrong.
  9. Well my old Makita decided to call it a day and go to Valhalla. So Since I had multi Dewalt batteries I brought their Dcd995 beast. Next purchase will be 2 or more flexvolt batteries and their flexvolt recip saw.
  10. That's a good deal. Wish we had them offers here except its €186 for one or €320 ($357) for two
  11. What model Hitachi are you comparing it to?
  12. If you can get your hands on an old Record vice before Irwin brought them out, In my opinion the best made bench vices around. I still have my fathers vice which he brought back in the early seventies and still rock solid today. Pick up something like this
  13. How does the drill feel in hand, never used Matabo before.
  14. I might give it a miss for a few months the prices might drop abit.
  15. Have you seen the prices! they jumped from €556 to €660 $741 for in circular saw. Crazy
  16. Figure of speech......................Honest
  17. I wouldnt worry OP any of today's tools are more or less on par with each other, knowing how many holes a drill can do over its competitor is nonsense etc how it preforms in the working world is whats important. Its also down to personal preference. You can either be the guy with all the fancy tools and no knowledge or the guy with some tools and lots of knowledge.
  18. Is it more or is the secondary handle looks like a piece of plastic thrown on? Looks odd.
  19. Where's Kornomaniac when you need him
  20. My thoughts exactly, surely selling their premium drill and impact as a kit would make a great seller?
  21. Your not wrong there I can tell you.
