  1. I love mine. It's about as good as you can get with a cordless grinder. That's a fantastic deal and you know the guy didn't even use it because of no wrench He should have just asked nicely for one of the replacement wenches they keep in stock in most HD's. His loss, of temper at least, your gain.
  2. Sadly the flux capacitor is just a movie prop but believe it or not Lexus is working on a real life hover board. No joke, but I don't know how practical liquid nitrogen cooled superconducting magnets and metal buried below the road surface is gonna be but sounds like fun... http://www.japantimes.co.jp/news/2015/06/28/business/tech/lexus-heads-back-future-hoverboard/#.VZHHuVL3aJI
  3. I hope you didnt take it as too snarky but more just a good ribbing that I couldn't resist doing to point out the movie reference without actually naming it
  4. I've never had metal pegboard before this chest and while I like it the pegs seem to rattle around a little more loosely than hardboard because the metal is thinner than the usual wood obviously, still a nice gauge though. I found a solution to this and to even use thinner 1/8" peg accessories too. I bought a black vinyl coated screwdriver holder at Sears that was 1/8" and used those dishwasher repair nub things, you can get them on Amazon for like $8 per hundred, on the the tips and it snugs up the peg in the hole nicely and improves the fit and eliminates much of the rattle and movement. They even work on 1/4" pegs, albeit very tightly, and makes the 1/4" practically immovable. Those dishwasher repair tips I've used over the years for all sorts of applications, like when a small bolt's threads protrude from something and you want to make it safer etc. or even making soft feet for something made of thin wire/rod. You could do the same with plastidip but nothing beats the instant gratification of having them on hand for a quick and tidy fix. Here are some pix:
  5. Flux capacitors help to unbalance E=MC^2 in stainless steel unibody transports so they can bend the laws of physics. It's especially useful in providing a fish out of water experience so comedic hi-jinx can ensue. Not sure how they will be used in tools but they for sure will need that new 9.0 battery, or at least 1.21 giga watts. ETA - once we get the flux capacitors though we will never need to wait for announcements about tools or anything, we can just spin an LED time/date dial and show up on launch day and get whatever.
  6. Might look a little retina searing with all that red and yellow but I don't see a problem as long as you like it
  7. Yeah it ain't gonna be cheap... but then what Milwaukee tools are? Also in an interview one of the Milwaukee reps said the 9.0 wasn't gonna be like 3x's the price of a 3.0 battery so hopefully it's under $200 and all the other battery prices drop for a change. One thing I would like the 9.0 for is the m18 vac lol, nothing kills a battery like that thing. Kinda crazy to use it for that but I use that vac almost exclusively now and hate dragging out a corded shop vac if I can help it. I hope the new 9.0 will even fit in there lol.
  8. Wow that is a great deal but now that Milwaukee has announced the 6.0 and 9.0 packs along with the new quick charger I'm figuring I'll end up being cluttered with standard M18 chargers and I might as well bite the bullet and wait for a 6.0 and quick charger. Hopefully they make a 6.0 or 9.0 bundle with the quick charger. You figure it makes sense for the 9.0 pack at least because it will take hours to charge on a standard charger.
  9. Ouch that sucks. That might be the first bad thing I've seen about the build of these boxes. They are so heavy and boxed up so completely that they would be a major pain to have to bring back to the store so I feel for you. Sorry to hear about your bad experience.
  10. Ryobi was one of the first, if not the first, to put a trio of LED's on the front of an impact driver with the P236 way back in the beginning of 2012. I know because I got one when it first came out. It's the same parent company as Milwaukee so it can't be a patent thing. I actually like the p236 a lot. The tri light is better than the Milwaukee's single one but not THAT much better to be honest. The Milwaukee's LED staying on for a while after the trigger is pulled and the multiple power mode buttons far outweigh the loss of a little light IMHO. I think the problem with going with all the LED's around the front of a driver is you end up having to make the whole front cap out of plastic which won't hold up as well as metal and that's probably why Milwaukee seems averse to adding a ring of LED's around the business end of their impact drivers and wrenches.
  11. Here is the inside of the chest showing the grommets I was talking about:
  12. No problem. I've been reading here for a long time and watching TiA videos a long time. The information has been invaluable and just trying to give a little back...Here's what I was talking about the casters lol:
  13. I just got one of these 46" boxes and the attention to detail and the consistency all around is impressive for the price. Things like the fact that every screw can be hand tightened all the way to snug with little effort to the fact that they put a grommet on the inside the chest bulkhead where no one will see it, not just on the outside, for the top power cable. Also every screw and bolt is matte black to go with the red matte paint and black hardware on the box save for the casters which are chrome. The casters themselves have the really nice on/off foot toggles not to mention they weigh close to 20lbs by themselves. The boxes are also packed very well, which is great considering how heavy they are.
  14. 9Ah batteries really open up possibilities for more traditionally stationary tools like say a compound miter saw where battery pack size and weight are of no real concern. On the end of a drill or impact driver the 9Ah battery might get a little tiresome but single handed tools are probably not really the target for these extreme packs. Too bad Milwaukee doesn't sell an M18 miter here in the US...yet. I wish they'd go ahead and announce it, I'm in need of one soon and I have lots of large crown the Dewalt cordless, though very nice, is just gonna be too small.
