  1. Any idea on release dates anyone? NA? UK? AUS?
  2. Not sure on price point yet but I’ll have a look at the weekend! The rear handled circular saw will be on show too I think! https://www.instagram.com/p/Bm0KWvcgNwh/?utm_source=ig_share_sheet&igshid=1c9leiups9swh
  3. Lol, you funny.... first makita 18v x2 preview January 2014 First FlexVolt previews July 2016
  4. Guys! When do you think Makita will release a new premium level drill now that the XPH07/DHP481 is 4 years old?
  5. This is pretty decent, maybe not the same level as the other two but certainly capable enough 👍 https://sydneytools.com.au/makita-dml805x2-18v-li-ion-cordless-corded-led-flood-work-light-2-pack-tripod-clamp
  6. Yeah I’ve seen the DCS576, great idea but no function to allow the rail to stay attached and have the pins slide underneath for angle adjustments.
  7. Guys! Its now been a couple of years since Festool (HK55/HK85/HKC55) released their versions of Mafell’s cross-cut plunge saws (KSS300/KSS400/KSS40) does anyone else think that Makita/Dewalt/Bosch etc will follow suit and release saws that the rails stay attached to?
  8. Guys! I’m considering investing in a drill-powered lock mortising jig. The company I work for has a job (with a ridiculously short timeframe) that includes around 30 doors. To help make things more efficient and hopefully relieve a little bit of pressure on myself Im think buying one of these would do the trick, along with some other Trend goodies! Im wondering if anyone on here has any experience with them? If so, what are your thoughts? I’ve read that it has to be operated by a corded drill with 3000rpm+, can anyone confirm this? Would my cordless 18v with 2200rpm be suitable? Also, the hafele one is $450 AUD or I could buy a cheaper brand for around $300 AUD. I usually go with ‘buy cheap, buy twice’ but I’m not sure how much of a difference it would make on one of these. Any feedback would be great! Links below! 9. When will we see this saw? 👍 how do you know it’s coming?
  10. Totally agree. They have seem to have decent deals now+again and decent tools but as stated they charge WAY too much for what they are. The little cordless compressor and belt sander are quite appealing but are $300 each skin -only. $320 for their Brushless 7 1/4” Circ Saw is a bit steep considering the FlexVolt is $290 and from time to time Is offered with a free battery (redemption). Their cordless trim router is the same price as the Makita as well. I understand they have to make a profit and what not but I have to agree that their price-point here in Australia makes them an unattractive option compared to Dewalt/Makita/Milwaukee and even Bosch (although their lineup is very limited IMO).
  11. Also spotted the 4.0ah FlexVolt battery (12.0ah 18v) $249! https://sydneytools.com.au/dewalt-dcb548-xj-18v-54v-12-0ah-xr-flexvolt-li-ion-battery
  12. The rear handled beast is due in Australia in October ! $369 skin only! https://sydneytools.com.au/dewalt-dcs577n-xj-dewalt-dcs577n-xj-54v-flexvolt-xr-li-ion-cordless-brushless-190mm-rear-handle-circular-saw-skin-only
  13. Not here in Australia you can’t? $350 for the corded multimaster, $660 for the cordless. Its the 18v Makita multi tool I have and that’s what I’d be looking to buy again. You could be right, it could be the brushes.
  14. Guys! Can any of you wonderful people give any information on when we will see a Brushless OMT From Makita? I’ve had the brushed model for 3 years and it’s starting to die on me (it’s had a hard life tbf). I’m wondering whether it’s worth paying $220 for a new brushed model or waiting for Brushless?
  15. I had messaged you on Insta about this... so you reckon the FlexVolt is a better Saw and deal too?
  16. I still can’t decide guys! I’ve seen both in person and I can’t help but think the Dewalt is Better made! The Makita is also heavier! Help anyone 😂😂!
  17. Any idea when we will see better cells/high demand batteries? The other companies will be looking at their ‘gen 2’ high demand/multi volt batteries by the time Makita gets their first lot out.
  18. Any update on a brushless multi tool? Any sign of an 18v x2 table saw to rival hitachi’s new multi volt table saw? Will makita be releasing a battery only framing nailer? Any news on high demand batteries to rival every other tool companies high demand batteries?
  19. Does anyone know if the rail issues that effected the ls1019 (corded Makita 10”) carried over onto the cordless model? Im still stuck on a decision. I’ll be working out a van, possibly in remote areas without easy access to power. A cordless table saw would always be handy but I’m unsure if Makita has any plans to release one! I’ve used the FlexVolt and it was great!!
  20. A link to the aforementioned adapter 👍 https://www.cltoolcentre.com.au/makita-195839-5-guide-rail-adaptor-for-sp6000k.html
  21. Apparently in the first 2 weeks of April here in Australia! I messaged ‘toolpig’ on instagram and he said it was very good, much better than the 18ga.
  22. Have a look at what these guys have to offer! Some good products to compliment the Df500 by the looks of it! http://dominofix.com/products-tools-accessories-woodworking/
  23. Looks good!! Just spotted! Didn’t even know it was coming! https://sydneytools.com.au/makita-dbn600zj-18v-li-ion-cordless-64mm-16ga-finish-nailer-skin-only
  24. Hi guys! I was looking at possible getting some sort of ready-made router table setup and have came across the combination above. I’m wondering if anyone has any experience with either of these items or even both of them combined? Pro’s and con’s would be great! Thanks!!
