  1. nalu, and anyone else reading, it's clear to me how to attach thumbnails, but how to you get an entire picture within a post so we don't have to click on the picture? i see others doing it, but nothing i try seems to work. any help would be appreciated.
  2. i get a real kick out of seeing these logo-ed trucks whenever i'm out and about. saw a guy inside restocking some of the power tools. current generation m18 fuel tools were being clearanced, although not at dramatically reduced prices. does anyone know if milwaukee uses ford exclusively? that would make me like them so much more.
  3. under $20 looks like a solid deal for 6 of these clamps. they were on sale for $24.88 for a while, but with the extra price drop it seemed like a no brainer. only thing cheaper might be harbor freight. still quite a bit more online: http://www.homedepot.com/p/BESSEY-GSCC2-506-Clutch-Clamp-Set-6-Piece-GSCC6PK/205804273
  4. i agree with you completely. this is one of the "nicest" forums i've ever been on, with hardly any hate or bashing going on, so would certainly want to avoid ridicule just because english isn't the companies primary language. this seems like a product that was lost in translation, but seriously they could've tried a little harder if they are serious about selling here. i'd also have to agree the product looks like crap, though. a brushless hammer drill with only 550 in-lbs torque? for $229?? i dont think so...
  5. wow, you've really put together an incredible workshop! is that your professional shop?
  6. i'm so confused by this... i have the alerts set to notify me when the channel goes live, but nothing is happening. i looked at some random channels last night and it's a neat concept
  7. wow, impressive work to say the least. this guy aced whatever project he was working on. my body is starting to feel a little funny, too...
  8. thought i'd mention it hasn't been 48 hours since you first posted and TIA has already added 20 followers based on the 408 listed in your screenshots. pretty good, but i think we can all do better! join and support TIA!! based on everyone's comments i'm excited to actually see my first stream!
  9. awesome, thanks for the clarification. i'll stick with phone# since i don't need to find anyone except TIA for now.
  10. oh lord! i've wanted a mini for quite some time, just isn't practical for my life, but geez the john cooper works versions are just ridiculously priced, arent they? yours looks sweet, though... manual trans i hope?
  11. great point. i do see the bosch name and logo around HD, but i don't recall seeing actual power tools lately... even still, HD has a clear advantage in tool selection over lowe's, from hand tools to power tools. if you removed the kobalt tools, the area dedicated to tools at my area stores would be drastically reduced. i don't think the same could be said for husky at HD.
  12. might be blasphemous, but since i only need one for personal use i've always stuck with metal looking pen-type gauges. i have no doubt that a $1 (or often free) gauge is not going to be as accurate as what you mentioned, but for regular driving it's just fine in my opinion
  13. this is exactly the type of situation the technology could help with! right now bossman has to physically come out to see what the nuckleheads are or are not doing... with this tech the boss just opens up the app and sees that two tools havent been running in 20 minutes or that they've only completed 70% of the work that should be done within a certain time frame. it sounds to me like the greatest benefit of this tech in not necessarily the end user holding the tool, but rather the site foreman who needs to oversee the work and make sure that everyone is working as efficiently as they should. if they aren't then it becomes crystal clear where the lag is coming from, instead of these guys just covering for each other. i can certainly see larger worksites or corporate clients with huge workforces implementing something like this to stay on top of their workers. i seem to be in the minority here, but this looks promising for the big guys.

    My Baby!

wow, that's an incredible setup! love to see people taking pride in their tools. when i was younger i felt like the dirtier the tool, the more manly i was because it was obvious i was using them more. now i understand how that thinking is ridiculous, not to mention destroys the tools.
  15. i'll piggyback on most other comments, the m12 is easily the best, but only if we're talking about the m12 fuel. the standard brushed is still pretty good, but i would rate the bosch above it for its greater power and smaller size. price wise i don't see a huge difference between most of the 12v... i think it's $40 more for the m12 fuel vs brushed... can't see that being a deal breaker for someone using the tool everyday. i'd rank them m12 fuel, bosch ps41, m12 brushed and everything else
  16. how about a 2011 Honda Odyssey?! any takers? anyone, anyone?? love the attention the mustang is getting, but i've been dreaming of the bmw 6-series gran coupe for a while now... just a couple more years of depreciation and she could be mine!
  17. nalu - what's the reason you suggest using twitter versus phone #? i personally hate twitter for all the garbage that is constantly "tweeted" around, and actually had an account for awhile but there's just so much spam. does it benefit TIA to have actual twitter users sign up? if so, i'll gladly reopen an account, but i'd rather not...
  18. i can't get enough of the florida bashing! i spent 26-ish years of my life in the panhandle and gainesville, and the news ain't wrong about us! even when you think you've seen it all, she'll hit you with another WTF?! this one isn't actually recent, but still hilarious... Man With Tom Brady Helmet Tattoo Arrested For Narcotics http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/10/10/tom-brady-helmet-tattoo_n_5966430.html?utm_hp_ref=weird-florida
  19. wow, ridiculous. takes me back to my college days when this wouldve seemed completely normal. all i kept thinking was, this is probably happening in florida...

    12v lineup

It's wild how often this topic comes up around here! i have the m12 line and i love it. of the tools you mentioned i only own the multitool, but have heard great things about the scope. it's a decent price point for a basic scope, too. i have the regular drill/driver, not the hammerdrill, but reading up on the specs for the tool doesn't really impress me. seems like if you need that functionality than just use the 18v you already have because even if its older its bound to have more torque than the 12v. never used the bosch lineup, so can't compare, but i can say that if you get the m12's, especially the Fuel, you will not regret it for a moment.
  21. yeah, apparently it completely falls apart when trying to change the blade. i think the same 100-pack of husky blades was $10 by itself, which happened to be the cheapest brand there, so that's why i thought it was a decent deal.
  22. i agree with this comment completely, if all that you need tools for is "anything that i really feel like doing", then the B&D kit that you already have may be enough. of course if you have the means and want to invest in another platform go for it, but it doesn't sound like you necessarily need to upgrade. i think i'm very similar to you in my tool needs. i just wanted something better and that ended up being the milwaukee m12 and m18 lines. i had a little extra pocket change so it wasnt that big a deal to go for a better product. sound to me like you're budget might ultimately decide what you should buy, and if you are trying to be sensible, like everyone else i believe ryobi would be a great line to really look at. endless tools at crazy affordable prices. i saw a 4-pack of ryobi batteries at HD today for $79, can't get much cheaper than that. unless you go used, of course, which is actually another great option.
  23. i'll piggyback on the other knife posting with this husky utility knife with 100 blades. i don't recall seeing another product that was this poorly reviewed, but the price is pretty good for just the blades alone even if the actual knife is crap. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-Quick-Release-Retractable-Utility-Knife-with-Blades-100-Piece-99034/205674287?keyword=1001200723
  24. 4 pack of the ryobi one+ batteries for $79 today, marked down from $99. i couldnt imagine getting 4 milwaukee batteries for that price, but maybe it's in the normal range for ryobi. thought i would post it anyways for the ryobi fans out there.
  25. Saw the Makita XT257M brushless hammerdrill & impact combo kit marked down to $299 at HD.
