  1. That has been my thoughts all along! It's ridiculous. At least the lack in power when in the 16ga should equate to adequate power in 18ga.
  2. Damn DeWalt isn't even going to sell the 18ga in a hard case, let alone a Tstak here in NA. Come on man!
  3. I was told by an inside source this nailer has been delayed for release in NA. The May release has been pushed back to September due to production issues. We will see. Big bummer there if true.
  4. I'll be getting the FlexVolt track saw. Same motor as the unstoppable circular saw and the table saw. [emoji106]
  5. The 6.0ah they offer are 18650 battery cells that aren't the greatest at handling high demand/discharge loads at that ah. Makita needs to go to 20700 battery cells like Metabo, Bosch, DeWalt have. I expect at the Milwaukee NPS event this year they will release new 20700 cell batteries.
  6. How are you liking the 12v Flexiclick?
  7. 120v 10" Table saw is coming before the end of the year. That is my prediction.
  8. Yes, the Ebates discount is always added to whichever discount is already being offered.
  9. Sign up for Ebates account, find retailer you are purchasing from (not every retailer is there), see % you get back from them by shopping with Ebates, click the Ebates link to shop with chosen retailer. An Ebates rebate # us created and you are directed to the site. Make your purchase as you normally would. Ebates emails you with the rebate amount and then deposits the funds into your Ebates account. Once every quarter Ebates mails you a check. [emoji106] It's really easy and saves a few dollars. Note: on purchase above I got back ~$4.50 which is 1.5% back from the original purchase amount, not the Acme discount price. Discount is taken off original price. Acme Lowe's Ace Hardware Zoro All these I use Ebates on regularly
  10. $118.58 for a 9.0ah FlexVolt 20700 cell fat pack! Yes please. Thank you @acmetools for helping me spend some of my tax return. My FlexVolt miter saw is going to be so happy! Seriously, this is a fantastic deal for a 2-pack of the 9.0ah FlexVolt and other flexvolt tools I have been wanting to try the new Dewalt Tstak tote as well. I also used Ebates and received an extra 1.5% off of my total order. Acme Tools - 15% off - refundme code
  11. DeWalt is still making the 18v XRP batteries. I don't see them cutting off production of 12v batteries, especially since they are cheap to make with their 2.0ah cells. DeWalt is releasing more specialty items in 12v, so it is somewhat committed to keeping it around. Not to mention, battery cells can easily be switched out for new ones if they fail. I am not sure if the DeWalt 12v like case that holds AAs will power a green laser. I held my 20v 2.0ah battery next to my DW088LG cross line laser and its nearly the same size. I wouldn't want a laser to be as big as needed to mount a 20v battery to it. On a side note, Bosch is releasing a 12v powered green laser with Bluetooth capability. Pretty cool stuff!
  12. Why ugh to 12v? Batteries are cheap. Battery life in the lasers is excellent (10+ hrs). Keeps the laser size small and can be charged on 20v chargers.
  13. DW0825LG - 12V 5 Spot + Cross Line Green Laser ($499) - Vertical & horizontal cross, along with up, down, forward, & side to side plumb dots. -Accuracy of +/- 1/8" at 30 feet -2 m drop rating -Locking pendulum -Integrated magnetic bracket -1/4-20 and 5/8-11 thread mounts -12-Volt MAX battery and charger included -TSTAK storage case -150 ft. range (165 ft. with detector) DW0822LG - 12V 2 Spot + Cross Line Green Laser ($399) -Vertical & horizontal cross, along with up and down plumb dots DW085LG - 12V 5 Spot Green Laser ($399) -Up, down, forward, & side to side plumb dots RED laser versions also available (price will surely be lower). These can currently be seen on the Home Depot website, DeWalt.com, and Amazon. Available for pre-sale on Amazon. Well done DeWalt. I am looking forward to the new lasers. I could definitely see myself upgrading to the 5 point cross line green version.
  14. Expected to be released in May per Bosch JimboS1ice. Let's hope so. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  15. I was just hoping it was like the XRP nailers. The 18ga was quite a but smaller than the 16ga and they used the same flywheel mechanism. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  16. I really want to see a picture of this 18ga nailer in a Tstak. That way I can decide if I want it that way. The 16ga fits in a Tstak, just barely. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  17. I just bought the DTS 400 and it is fantastic. The sad part is, after getting my Pro 5 back from Festool servicing the pad is starting to do the same thing it was doing in the above video. It will just stop rotating under very little pressure.
  18. I have been hoping for Tstak boxes for some time now and keep getting let down. I really hope they start selling tools that way here in NA. The FlexVolt track saw is a prime example as well. I really feel this nailer is going to let me down just like the 16ga did when comparing it to the XRP nailers. With that said, I still enjoy using the new 16ga, it's just not as powerful. This 18ga appears the same size as the 16ga. We will see when it's in our hands. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  19. Coming soon to cool down your frustration with the vibration of the new XR compact reciprocating saw.
  20. Couldn't agree more. You must not own the 10.8v dremel tool. It's phenomenal! The brushless angle grinder gets fantastic reviews but I just don't have a use. I love my Bosch 12v. Debating getting the new Fkexi-Clic.
  21. I am running 1 1/4" fine thread into 75 yr old pine tonight and it's pretty damn good. 2lbs with the small battery, 2.6lbs with big battery.
  22. Snagged this from Europe. Lightweight, ergonomic, and smooth.
  23. Why does it need to be compatible with with FlexVolt batteries? It doesn't need a big expensive battery in it. Runtime is great with a 5.0ah. I would rather delegate my FlexVolt batteries to tools that have a higher battery drain.
  24. I bit and bought one. Amazing feel in hand. So ergonomic. Much lighter and smaller than my DeWalt 20v. I will be using it here shortly.
