  1. How can you look at that page of tools and not see it screaming Makita? The angle grinders are identical, saws, impacts, hammer drill, multitool etc. slight change to battery slide lock, but the batteries are even assembled the same as a Makita with the same screws and shape! 2. Soon, everything will be owned by one company... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. Thought so! The video hasn't been fixed though. 4:15 you can see it. Maybe when he "set them both the same" he selected the 3rd position on both, reducing the 2757-20 to 2100rpm? Not knowing the 4th mode wasn't the tek mode like the Surge? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    junk tools

2nd the switch/trigger. Brushless tools rely too heavily on electronics. It's the Achilles heel. For the abuse you are heaping on your tools, go back to brushed. Much easier to fix and less delicate. Brushed 4 pole stuff like Hilti, Ridgid and Makita has equivalent torque to most brushless. 4 poles dramatically reduce losses through the commutator, battery life and torque are very similar to brushless too. This is a very inexpensive option: https://www.makitatools.com/products/details/XDT11Z Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Home Depot

Here in Canada, Lowes was selling the 8" diagonal comfort grip cutters for $35, HD is selling the basic grip for the same price. Lowes had the mini bolt cutter for $79, HD is $105 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Smell that new tool smell. Got the saw for $99! Basic saw for my basic needs. Can't wait for my brushless grinder... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So, HomeDepot has Knipex now... Hadn't noticed that before. They are super expensive though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Tough one. There would be significant demand constantly starting and stopping. That inrush current adds up fast and would likely cause the 18v to not last nearly as long. 60% reduced electrical pressure makes a huge difference. Constant speed would edge out the 18v but that wouldn't reflect real world usage. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Damn, I've never seen that either! What were you chiseling? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. How are they weight wise? Size seems a little bigger than a tough box. I like to keep a small box for batteries/charger that I haul in every night and bigger boxes for tools. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

A little bit! Mostly science denier types who think Facebook memes are more credible than educated professionals! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. Gents, I would love to get a little insight and education. I currently use a combination of Tstaks and 2 Milwaukee tool boxes. I had a full set up of Tough systems boxes but found them to be very awkward, heavy and odd sized.( too big for easy portability and too small for things like a recip saw.) What I am hoping for would be a cross between the Milwaukee style box and Tstak size. With gasket/weather tight. What do you guys recommend for weather tight solutions? I appreciate you posting the manual but I choose to believe my feelings and hearsay over factual evidence. I feel it is more likely a billion dollar company made a mistake in the manual then the likelyhood a tool reviewer made a mistake. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  18. I can help with that. I would send it either USPS or FedEx. I have had really good luck with postal. Terrible luck with UPS, they invent charges and hope you pay them. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. Dude. Ship to Canada. I will buy it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. No. what I listed is the default. It needs to be programmed if you want tek mode. Hence the manual saying default. Not one key. It's very clear and straight forward. "Allow the tool to come to a complete stop before changing modes. Press the selector button to cycle between the settings.Select wireless to change the default settings via the ONE-KEY App on your smart device" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. What I linked is the default. If you choose to program it, you can, otherwise it's what it listed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. For sure. I hope responds and posts another video. I like his videos, I wasn't taking a shot at him personally, I just immediately noticed the light on the impact and thought it was suspect. Sponsorship aside, I am sure it was as simple as mistaking mode 4 for teK mode. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I would bet money that it wasn't maxed. The speed alone is slower than my M12 impact. I think it's more likely that he didn't realize it was in mode 3. He may have also mistakenly thought that the 4th mode was the Tek mode like the Surge, and set both to 3. That tool had no wear and tear and probably has never been programmed! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. I guess I didn't read the manual correctly, to me, it reads as if the 3rd setting is in fact, NOT Max rpm. What does this mean? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  25. I think sustained torque and a quieter tool isn't bad either. It just seems like an odd way to present a head-to-head comparison. The 2nd highest torque/speed setting (3rd from left) is maxed out at 2100 rpm. Quite a bit lower speed and torque than the tool is capable of. (3000 rpm / 1800 in-lbs) Having a rigged or lop-sided comparison seems suspect. Even the TiA test with the Milwaukee rep was a little one sided, they used an entry level impact instead of the fuel to compare against the Surge. It seems highly questionable.
