  1. The only nice thing about the macs is the build materials. The use of metals give a nice premium feel. Not worth the huge increase, but they are sexy. I would get a Mac if the price was right or if they let you install OSX on a build yourself. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Got mine at Walmart for $68 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I second the Dewalt. For the size, you can't beat it. I have the M12 Fuel, it's a tank. Heavy and bulky. The Dewalt is nice for tight spaces. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. If you are gonna anchor it down, make sure you take off the handles. Nothing is more annoying that the constant banging. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. Looks like the 14v, which for some odd reason is hugely popular in Japan. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. When you frame your shot, try not to put your head in the middle(at the start, you seem really far away. It's a common mistake people make). You will be able to tighten up your shot and provide your viewer with more tool detail while cutting out all the stuff on top we don't need to see. I like your videos and I hope this doesn't come across as anything more than constructive! Keep em coming! Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk

    12v CXT kit

Just had an Ah-Ha moment. I am 90% sure the 12V Hilti stuff is made by Makita. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. The standing voltage is around 12VDC, so technically they can say that. Typical marketing BS though. Just like calling 18VDC tools, 20V Max....(cough ....Dewalt).
  9. It's pretty awesome actually. I use mine to locate pipes in walls etc, when drilling/coring. I have the one with the voltage detector, which is nice too. It scans and tells wether the material is ferrous or not, stud finder etc. Very handy.

I have done 2 vehicles so far with no complaints. Be methodical and you should be fine. Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk
  11. Further proof that Hilt is the first choice for the professional...thief! Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk

    12v CXT kit

It's funny, a bunch of new models are coming out that are using compact 4 pole brushed motors now, just like Hilti has been doing. The new Makita 4 pole stuff looks awesome. They are are branding it as commercial grade, go go Makita! I would totally buy the new 12v/18v brushed compact stuff! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Wait for a super hot day, leave table in sun. Use compressed air canister upside down to freeze metal and it should slide out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Raku Raku is a sound effect that means "too easy", o an adjective meaning "easily". Maybe a light duty mode? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. Why does it say brushless? Very misleading! http://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-GEN5X-Brushless-18-Volt-Compact-Hammer-Drill-Driver-and-3-Speed-Impact-Driver-Combo-Kit-R9205/206127587 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. Very gimmicky. If a drill has 3 or 4 speeds, the motor works about the same and gearing does the work. Messing around with voltage or rpms to achieve the same thing is not smart. The tool could be subjected to unnecessary punishment. Higher current draw and higher heat to say the least. Seems like a great way for people to burn up a tool. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. The brush just transfers voltage to the commutator. Sounds like you didn't wire the switch correctly. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. http://www.ereplacementparts.com/makita-lxdt04-18v-lxt-lithiumion-cordless-impact-driver-kit-parts-c-97_106_116_187908.html $27.50 for the switch, $4 for a new fwd/reverse lever, $9 for new brushes and a brush holder (might as well if you are taking it apart anyways). Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. Makita.com, find parts list, order new trigger and switch. Unlike brushless, there are no electronics to control speed etc... They are simple to fix. Should be a $40-$60 repair. Takes about 30 mins if you diy. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. No it does not only have a USB port, it has both. The description says it is for heated gear as well." I own it.
  21. This isn't the one that comes with the gear, but it's better! It has an additional USB port! http://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M12-Power-Source-Tool-Only-49-24-2310/204678672 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. The brake is instant too, watch it stop when he makes the 45 degree cut Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Impressive! I hope it arrives in N.A. quickly! Great track saw, nice ripping fence! https://www.hilti.co.uk/sc70w-a22 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. There is a vast difference between "low end" and "entry level". I would never call makita "low end".
