  1. They are a good light duty box. They walls are very thin and I wouldn't recommend them for heavy items. You would be better off with the Tough system drawer model. I have 6 T Stak boxes and one cracked from being dropped from 1 foot off the ground. It had my angle grinder and some accessories in it, hardly over weight. The clear top accessory box is awesome though! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Diminishing returns. Does a $150 ratchet work better than a $15 ratchet? Sure, why not. Is it 1000% better? Probably not. 200% better? Where do you draw that line? When is the slight improvement worth spending more? Your opinion is ultimately swayed by its perceived value. But it's your perception, which may be vastly different than mine. I would never pay more for snap on, but I just bought Hilti. The exact same argument I make for not buying snap on could be made to not buy Hilti. If you like it, buy it. Is it worth it? That's your call. That's why we like to be reassured in forums like this! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. I hate to rain on your parade, 20v max is still 18v... Edit: Just because! http://youtu.be/EYhrBGkt8jk Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. That is the kind of cool stuff that is missing today. Heart and soul, meaningful stuff they will have for a long time. Looks great! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. Mass production will always have a few rejects. Luckily you knew what to look/listen for. Awhile ago, when I got my M18 fuel impact, I had to exchange the first 2. The forward/reverse switch on the first one wouldn't lock and just slid back and forth. The second one made the loudest screech and clacking sound when you took your finger off the trigger! The third one was good! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Indeed, now how about explaining why my diagonal cutters are so poorly made that the cutting edges don't line up? Can't return them, they won't warranty them. Can't cut stranded wire because the cutters are more like scissors with a gap! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Not me! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. Always use your grinder guard! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  10. No, not everyone does. That's what makes a good tool company. How good is a tool company when they make 10 impact drivers? 20 drills? How much focus on quality is there? Samsung makes over 50 different model phones. Apple makes 3. Making fewer items that are better than your competitors is a smart plan. The numbers don't lie. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. Lol, no. Apple recorded the biggest profit quarter of any company, ever. In all of history. http://www.bbc.com/news/business-31012410 My point is simply this, hype only goes so far. Too much emphasis on marketing will hurt a company in long run if the products are average or over priced. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Samsung is profit is down 30% over last year and they have been down for the seventh straight quarter. They are a perfect example of flooding the market with too many cheap sku's with overhyped features no one really needs. Marketing only works for so long. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. It will be on the sticker, usually 18vdc 1amp, positive tip polarity etc.. Might wanna call the customer service number or email them. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. $250 is a good price! The Hilti hard cases are a little expensive! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. The Hilti impact kit is only $300-$400 (depending on configuration), how much less was the Bosch? The Hilti comes with 5.2Ah batteries now as well. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. Every week Milwaukee is offering a free something-or-other. The margins would probably make us cry. If you notice the pricing trend with Milwaukee, the costs have been slowly going up. When fuel launched they were more expensive than m18. Justifiable and worthwhile imo. The regular M18 is being phased out and replaced with compact brushless, with increased retails. Brushless should cost less. Less parts, less raw materials etc. the 2nd gen fuel costs more, the higher capacity batteries cost more (which should only be a few dollars, not $50) and this new app key costs more. The trend is very common these days, charge more by packing in "features" no one cares about. Just ask Samsung how that is working out for them! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. That is pretty bad. There should have been enough grease in there to prevent the chatter and wear you described. Sounds like the robot grease machine ran out as it was filling yours up! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. Much appreciated! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. I would just be making plunge cuts for retrofits and flush cutting anchors. HD doesn't stock it so I can't "try it" before I buy it... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. It is definitely the "innovation" that no one needs or wants. Milwaukee has to keep up the marketing, they have bought their success. Nothing wrong with that either, but they can relax a bit, they make good tools. There is definitely a market for tool inventory or limiting torque for idiots, but most people won't need or use these features. It's this type of marketing that drives up the cost of tools and forces people to look at other brands. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I have a set that I got on sale. Framer and Brad. I have no issues whatsoever and for what I paid , I was expecting garbage. I would by them again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I am full Hilti for my big tools, but I do have some M12 stuff like lights, radio etc. I am looking at the Milwaukee M12 Multitool for occasional use. Is it worthwhile? The only downside I can see that it isn't tool-less. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Thunder Bay ? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. Specs says, 40 max. So yeah, 30ish wouldn't be unreasonable.Edit: Yup, Sony China says 30a continuous. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  25. And the winner is ... Sony 3.6v 40a 2600mah High Drain Li-ion cell SE US18650VTC5 Gotta love Hilti, everything is made to be serviced easily. Took about 20 seconds to get a peek inside. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
