  1. I am not sure about it. I think you should ship it to me for closer inspection. I can evaluate it in my kitchen and let you know. It's only one province over ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Hell yea! I saw that and immediately thought how great a design that was! The tough system is a pain in that you can't keep the lids open while they are on the cart. The lids on the tough system got caught on stuff and I actually tore my pants on the latch because it didn't fall flat after I opened it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I am an electrician, I drill and core concrete. I have used Makita, Bosch and Hilti. We actually own all 3 brands. I can say, with experience and authority, that the Hilti is the best. Let me be clear, it isn't the best "everything". It is however, the best performing, overall. I wouldn't use the Bosch to core as it stalls and is slow. It chips better than the Hilti, but only marginally. I actually prefer the Makita ergonomics too! The Bosch was on sale, we bought it, it's fine. I would have no problem recommending any of them.I can go into detail if you like, but I am boring! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. In 18v cordless compact, sure, there are several great offerings. In industrial, no one is really ahead of anyone. The technology isn't exactly complicated. It boils down to performance, durability and longevity. Something Hilti has excelled at for many, many years. Did you "like" your own post? LOL! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. One guy is using a tool and one guy isn't. How bout this one? http://youtu.be/V1j9bc9MyJM Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. We have a Bosch and Makita for occasional use. Nothing wrong with them at all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. The TE76 is a beast. You aren't going to get the same performance from a $700 Bosch. I would fix the Hilti. How many years have you had it? How much abuse did it take? Do you think a Bosch that's 1/3 the price will be the same? Don't get me wrong, Bosch makes good stuff, but it isn't really apples to apples so to speak. There will come a time when Hilti will just replace it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Board Cutter

Love it. I do a ton of ceiling tile and drywall cuts above my head. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. For $190 that is a great rotary hammer. $350, not so much! I liked mine, very capable hammer drill, for $190 I don't think there is anything that can touch it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Drano isnt really safe for anything. It will eat through copper eventually. I had to replace a low section of old copper from a sink drain in my house. Previous owner loved Drano. The old can was still under the sink. The pipe had micro holes in it. When I touched it it crumbled. I would imagine that ABS wouldn't fair any better. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. I bought the Milwaukee set. Do.not.buy. That are pretty crappy for what you pay. The cheapo set I got in a free Makita bit kit are better. The Milwaukee set is very poorly made, the set bearing gets stuck, the 1/2 is bent right from the start. Same thing happened when I bought the 4" shockwave Robertson bit, it was warped right out of the package. Sent from my ONE E1005 using Tapatalk
  12. Makita has always had fast charging. That was one of the things I missed when I regrettably switched from Makita to Milwaukee. [emoji26] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Home Depot

I miss the smaller hardware stores!
  14. They need two offerings. I got rid of my tough system because of weight. They are way too heavy. An empty box shouldn't outweigh the tool you put in it. For me, Tstak made more sense for lugging around. But that comes at a price, durability. Smaller, lightweight storage solutions have a place, just as the tough system does. 15. 34 mins for the Hilti 2.6ah 12v in N.A.!That's 1 hour and 8 minutes for a 5.2ah battery! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. I am an electrician , I was laughed at when I first pulled out the 12v stuff a few years ago. Now everyone is using them! You just can't beat them for overall convenience. I love my 18v Hilti stuff but I will always have the 12v in my bag. Sent from my ONE E1005 using Tapatalk
  17. I should hope not, the hilti stuff is already 3 years old. My brushed drill has 1060 inch pounds of torque, the newest Milwaukee and makita "BRUSHLESS" stuff is only 1090. Hilti makes great stuff that lasts. That said, I know from experience having owned a full set of Milwaukee m18 fuel tools, that they are quite decent, but a little shy of the marketing hype. It just seems that makita and Dewalt are more carpenter friendly! Sent from my ONE E1005 using Tapatalk
  18. Shows 60 minutes on your link, where are you seeing less than 15-30 minutes? Sent from my ONE E1005 using Tapatalk
  19. Hilti hands down! In all seriousness, Makita or Dewalt. Milwaukee is all sizzle, very little steak. Sent from my ONE E1005 using Tapatalk
  20. That's awesome for Makita. In my opinion, 10-12v is the perfect size and weight for most applications. Add some brushless love and a competitive price, you have a winner! Sent from my ONE E1005 using Tapatalk
  21. Weld a 3/8 socket to it and use your impact to tighten it! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. The Tstak cart cost $99 a year ago when I bought it. There is no way it is $300 now! http://www.acmetools.com/shop/tools/dewalt-dwst17888-tstak-trolley Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. I have had it for awhile. I like it, but it needs a little more suction. It's slightly underpowered. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. The slightest kink in rigid compromises the integrity. There are no supports or bracing on that mast, it may have held for awhile but is likely to fail. I would have changed it out, no questions asked. As a rule, if it doesn't seem right, it most likely isn't. Your customer should be grateful you made their service safe again! And it looks 100% better. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  25. I NEVER loan out tools. Too many people have have no respect for anything that they didn't pay for. If a guy is really bugging me, I tell him sure he can borrow it if they wanna give me a $300 deposit. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
