  1. Does look rather tall, that’s an awesome edition for Dewalt users I have the mak, it’s great having no cord lets just hope Dewalt is smarter and includes a dust port Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Yea I agree, I’m not a fan of the bulky RIDGID but at least with a vertical battery you can handle it battery forward Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I was referring to the redesigned chuck itself on the gen 3 m18s, it’s more like a rohm chuck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I like ryobi so I don’t want this to come off biased but the Makita is tried and true. My experience with ryobi sanders is they feel hollow and vibrate enough to bother the user after a while, The Makita is going to be a more reformed sander with pretty good vibe control and onboard dust collection Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. What a score, I’ve been running that saw a few years what a champ, really cuts well in harder woods Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I just wish they would have held out a few months and put the new chuck on the new M18 fuel drills on these Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. We are talking about a Tacklife chisel and rotary, one hit on some decent maple and you need that tool to grind the gouge out Sorry Tacklife.... burn [emoji91] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Depending on your application everything sands differently, just because its a high power belt doesn't mean it won't take a little time, like mentioned above let the sander do the work, belts can do more harm than good sometimes, make sure to stick with the grain and not cross grain sand, start low, light pressure and work your way to the higher grits. Depending on what I'm doing ill go through 3-4 sanders and a multitude of grits. Also if your pushing to hard on the sander the grit will wear quickly so even if you have 80 on the machine it may wear to a 120 become ineffective
  9. The US amazon link country of Origin is China, big difference between those hunks of junk and the good german made ones
  10. Difference between the Dewalt and Festool price increase, you still know your going to get some good sale and bundle deals with Dewalt, Festool is luck of the draw, I've had great luck with some decent deals on festoolrecon.com but if you don't email subscribe don't even bother, tools sometimes sell out in minutes from posting, deals go from decent to steals, still kicking myself from not pulling the trigger on the PDC drill for $300, but for Dewalt to advertise I saw that email too, little strange IMO... Dewalt has gotten pricey on some tools though like their new flat bill grinder is almost $300 baretool, their new line of brushless AC grinders are all $200 plus... They still have better tool prices that teal lol

which release button are you using? the one on the left is to unlock it to bevel to the right, theres a lever on the right side that is used to unlock while beveled, its a little awkward to to use but requires a good yank on it
  12. I don't use the blade guard on my Dewalt, it has a riving knife like everyone else mentioned which is where the real business happens, mine can with an anti kick piece too that attaches to the riving knife but as long as you have half a head of common sense and pay attention to what your doing you don't really need it, maybe on larger stock it will help it out but a decent feather board is easier on the wood
  13. Its a charger issue not a battery issue, I had the same issue last year when I sampled a grinder kit with the 6.0s. The issue is in the computer in the charger you have to "reset" the charger. What you have to do is put the battery on the charge and remove it very quickly 4-5 times and it cycles to electronics to reset. This fix came from a Dewalt rep, let me know if it works...
  14. You guys wouldn't believe the incredible deal I got on this from Lowes $152 shipped
  15. Ah yes forgot about the "jig saw like" tool. I am nut sure of the power of that tool I know @KnarlyCarl could weigh in on it, he's one of the few I know that have it. I don't think I've seen blades though long enough and tough enough to deal with lathe and plaster though...
  16. Put a drawer together, used pocket holes, brushed my shoulders off all square and perfect.... pocket holes on the wrong side...
  17. Id be hard pressed to try this out on lathe and plaster, the Makita I've heard is fairly underpowered too compared to the competition, many times going through lathe and plaster I've found chicken wire too, hate to get a drywall router tangled in that mess, sawzall with a carbide blade works pretty good
  18. Not impressed by the Lowes Craftsman boxes, they seem to be pretty thin material, the older one that I have from Sears is a heavier guage, better side handles they are inset instead of riveted on

You mean the 20V battery eater? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  21. So tempting! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Unless you step into flexvolt line the 20V XR is only marginally more powerful than the Milwaukee, the 60V is where the powers at Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. FUEL chainsaw is coming to the line up, picture popped up and instagram of a Home Depot listing for it, retailed $399
  24. You are correct, separate companies, I want to say HD and or TTI pay loyalties into using the RIDGID name. This is why the RIDGID Industrial crimping tools don't use the RIDGID HD batteries, I wonder if Emerson will still make the vacuums?
  25. You’ll love it! Much more power than the m12 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
