  1. Not sure how credible this site is, but it’s the first I’ve seen giving a date for NPS18 (May 2-4)... https://www.ratchetandwrench.com/articles/5817-milwaukee-tool-to-host-new-product-symposium
  2. I thought they changed and started producing the older model with the newer metal collars because of this issue? Maybe that was just wishful thinking on my part.
  3. I don’t understand the technology a whole lot, but i gather that the bigger cells are the same length, just fatter (bigger around) and thats why they would no longer fit in the handle? if so, would it be possible to make a larger battery but just make them longer instead of fatter? Then the battery would just extend further out, but still fit. Probably one of those “easier said than done” things.
  4. I want white ones! J/k, that would be horrible. Starting to see some new combos with packout included. Here’s one i just saw today... https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M18-FUEL-with-ONE-KEY-18-Volt-Lithium-Ion-Brushless-Cordless-Combo-Kit-3-Piece-With-PACKOUT-Rolling-Case-2796-22PO/303241629
  5. tell me your vote... 1) $199 = M12 Gen 1 FUEL impact driver and FUEL hammer drill with 2.0 and 4.0 batteries PLUS the new m12 stapler or 2) $229 = M12 Gen 2 FUEL impact driver and FUEL hammer drill with 2.0 and 4.0 batteries. Do y'all think the Gen 2 is worth the extra cost and not getting a free tool?
  6. Have these even been announced (or leaked)?
  7. Basically every bag or case they make from this point should have those “feet”. It would probably mean more tools that could only go on top, but better than not attaching at all. Also things like the radios should also attach. Some kind of box with pull out drawers would be nice.
  8. It’s definitely gauged per tool, because a 9.0ah battery will pretty much run forever on my brad nailer, but my leaf blower will eat it up in no time. There are a ton of run time, torture test videos on YouTube, but they usually just show 1 battery. At best, they might compare 2 batteries. Since everyone uses their tools differently, I’m not sure its useful enough for someone to put in all the effort to do all those tests.
  9. I saw Toolaholic post the Gen 2 blower on instagram. Makes me wonder if there will be Gen 2 of all the OPE coming soon
  10. 3 piece packout set, $199 at HD. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-22-in-Packout-Modular-Tool-Box-Storage-System-233663/303038736
  11. Found HD 2017 BF ad. The link says 2016, but when you actually go to the page, its the 2017 ad... http://www.thecouponingcouple.com/home-depot-black-friday-2016-ad/
  12. I’ve only listened to the one (the big one with charger, etc) so i can’t give you a comparison, but I really like it. My only gripe is the bluetooth doesn’t connect easily to my phone, but I think it’s a phone issue, not the radio because my echo dot connects to it every time without fail. It will charge your phone, has aux in, charges your batteries, runs for days on a 3.0 or bigger battery and you don’t have to go without radio, you have it all. Or you can plug it in. And it has a bottle opener.
  13. I have the 2360-20 and love it. It can be plugged in if you have electricity, but if not you can use batteries. Obviously, the 9.0 is best for runtime (duh). Even on medium, its plenty bright. I typically just set it on top of my ladder or run a bungee or rope thru the handles and hang it from a tree or pole or something. My only issue I have had is when sanding drywall, the dust really made it impossible to pivot the light. I took it apart and cleaned those little pieces and it was fine. So try and keep it away from reallly fine dust. I got mine on a deal that came with a free 5.0 battery and have seen that deal periodically, so keep an eye out. If nothing else, you can get $20 off $100 spent at acmetools.com the rest of today.
  14. $20 off $100 on Milwaukee at acmetools.com code RED2DAY
  15. Finally getting my miter saw back tomorrow. It had bad electronics; don't know (understand) exactly what it was. On another interesting and disappointing note, I have a TICK attached and marked it LOST after I dropped it off 2 weeks ago and it has not been located yet. You would think someone who works at an authorized repair shop or a customer would have the Milwaukee app. And if so, why hasn't it pinged the location?
  16. I've had the M18 miter saw since the beginning of the year and its worked great. Today I was cutting some 3/4" plywood and I had a stop block set up and was cutting a long board down in to little pieces. The board was almost 12" wide, so it maxed out the depth of the miter saw. I would run the saw to "score" the top of the wood, then plunge thru on the end closest to myself, then push the saw back thru the board. Then I would flip it over and cut the tiny little piece that the saw wouldn't quite reach. I had made 14 cuts and was on the last one... I scored the top and was plunging thru and it sounded like it was bogging down and then it just stopped. This has happened occasionally and it usually was pinched or i was pushing to hard or the battery was dead (or almost dead). I checked the battery and its fine, still had 2 bars. I even tried a few other batteries (a 9.0, and 2 different 5.0s) and none of them worked. The light won't come on or anything. The batteries didn't feel excessively hot and the part where they connect to the saw itself also did not feel especially hot. I can't mail it in for service because its too big and I'm pretty sure there is not an authorized service center in my area and customer service is closed till Monday. Any suggestions from anyone? I don't really want to try and open it up myself; mainly because the part I would probably need to open would mess up the tag with the serial number and would probably be a big red flag to Milwaukee and might void my warranty or something. I've got to finish the job I'm working on this weekend and I have flooring to lay next weekend and need it for that too. Help!
  17. The 16ga M18 nailer is on a 1-day only sale for $259 ($140 off) on homedepot.com. Ends sometime after midnight, so only probably an hour or so left.
  18. Can it also plug in (and not use battery)? Will it charge batteries?
  19. 15 and 16 ga are both On a 1 day sale at HD for $229.
  20. I just keep a couple small rare earth magnets epoxied to the side and stick extra bit or screws on them.
  21. I have the M18 radio that also charges the battery if plugged in. The runtime with 3.0ah battery is incredible and the sound is plenty good and I like that it charges batteries and also has USB to charge my phone, but connecting to the bluetooth always gives me fits.
