  1. I have issues connecting the Bluetooth on my jobsite radio. It's not OneKey, but may be a similar issue. I'm wondering if it has more to do with the bluetooth technology? My phone (iPhone 6) connects flawlessly every time to any other bluetooth device, but my radio I have to sync/find/etc multiple times before it finally connects.
  2. Ordered my string trimmer... says will ship Jan 10... we'll see.
  3. Good deal at AcmeTool.com... $10 off $150, $25 off $250, $50 off $300. If you get any of the OPE kits for $299 and add some small item to push it over $300, then you can get the $50 off and free shipping. Not bad! Promo code HOHOHO. And you get the free $20 gloves!
  4. Some kind of lube, grease, oil (???) seems like it would be in order.
  5. So, the miter saw with 9.0 (plus a second "free" 9.0) is still $599. I wonder how long this will stay around? Previously, homedepot.com showed the deal good thru 12/4, but obviously we are past that date and its still showing the same "special buy", but there isn't any mention of an end date now. This is a great deal and I'm hoping it stays till at least the end of the year; hoping my christmas bonus might make it possible!! Anyone know?
  6. I used the Milwaukee black sharpie and white paint pen. On the tool, I will write with the sharpie underneath/inside where the battery connects. On the battery, I use the paint pen on the top. When the battery is installed on the tool, you don't see either one. It's great for knowing which are mine, but for true security, not so much; they can both be rubbed off pretty easily with a magic eraser sponge. I like this though, in case I sell something on craigslist or ebay, I can take it off.
  7. Got an early Christmas present today: the new Milwaukee heated jacket, model 201B-20M. This is the black jacket, size medium, with ability to heat chest/back and/or pockets. I was concerned about getting a medium, but I used their size chart and it's spot on. It is snug, but you definitely do NOT want it loose or you won't feel the heat nearly as much. I'm 6'2", 185 lbs and it's pretty much a perfect fit. I also got the 3.0 ah battery, but haven't had much chance yet to test runtime. Milwaukee is currently offering a rebate for a 3.0 battery on the jacket and 2.0 battery with hoodies. I read somewhere that it will not charge the phone AND heat the jacket at the same time, but I had the chest/back heat ON, pocket heat ON, and plugged in my phone and it was charging; this was all done on the smallest 1.5ah battery. I haven't opened my 3.0 ah battery yet, because I am waiting on the rebate battery to be sent from Milwaukee and then I will probably return my other to Home Depot; i don't really need it (I didn't realize they sent actual product for the rebate, I thought I had to buy the battery and would just be reimbursed the $$... oh well). I only have 3 complaints at the moment: 1) I don't care for the placement of the battery pack. It seems fine when sitting around the house, but in my truck (Nissan Frontier), the seat hugs on each side and pushes the battery in to my back. If I shift/twist the jacket around to the side a bit, it's not too bad, but still a little annoying. The older jackets had the battery on the side, but I think that would also be annoying because your arm would bump it all the time. I may look for an extension cable so I can put the battery in one of the other pockets. 2) the front left outside chest pocket is BARELY big enough to hold my iPhone 6 (in slim lifeproof case). There is NO wiggle room, so running a charging cable to that pocket is pointless; if the phone is charging, I can't zip it closed and 1/3 of the phone sticks out. The front right inside chest pocket is a tad bigger and works, but isn't as accessible without unzipping the coat and the charging cable has to stretch across the back. Not sure this will be a big deal, because if it needs to be charged, I'd probably just stash it in the inside pocket until its charged, then unplug and put it in another more accessible pocket. 3) there are no grommets in the front hand pockets to allow charging cables or headphones to be run to them. The jacket is very warm even without heat turned on and is very well made. It's a little stiff, but should "break in". Even with these complaints, I'm happy with it! My in-laws in Wisconsin made fun of me for having this is TX, but Jan and Feb get cold and our wind is awful and I work outside doing landscape, so this will be very nice during those 2 months. Bring on the cold temps!
  8. I screwed up. I bought the jacket AND the 3.0 battery. Then filled out the rebate form. AFTER I submitted, it said they will ship the "product" in about 6 weeks. Guess I'll have 2 3.0 batteries.
  9. How does this work? Do you have to BUY the "free" item, then they reimburse you the $$ or do you just buy the qualifying item(s) and they send you the free PRODUCT??
  10. Yep, it's pretty simple. My experience has been very positive with their warranty.
  11. I just learned about this page that shows all the current Milwaukee e-rebates... pretty handy. https://milwaukeetool-rebates.herokuapp.com/#/home/ecommerce
  12. I purchased an M18 hackzall off craigslist and just sent in to be repaired under warranty. Proof of Purchase was never asked for, just the serial number. They replaced the trigger, something in the motor, and put all new plastic body/housing on it and it didn't cost me a dime. I was also only without the tool for about 10 days.
  13. Today only, 1/2 off... http://www.homedepot.com/SpecialBuy/SpecialBuyOfTheDay?mi_u=376659518&cell_label=PROMO_THURSDAY&mi_job_id=2986314&mi_test_group=D&cm_mmc=hd_email-_-PROMO_THURSDAY-_-20161201_orangeinsider_20161201_PROMO_FW44_D_2986314-_-VA_Today_Only&et_rid=86721062
  14. I hear ya. I really want the 18g, but HD.com has the angled 16g kit for a great deal right now... http://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M18-FUEL-18-Volt-16-Gauge-Angled-Finish-Nailer-Kit-2742-21CT/206862848. I'm also trying to save to buy some of the new OPE. #addictedtored
  15. Doing some drive-by's? Haha, jk. What gauge is that?
  16. Yay!! I'm hoping they have better deals with the 9.0 like they do with the miter saw.
  17. Actually, it's a 4-pack of 5.0s for $199... http://www.toolup.com/Milwaukee-48-11-1850-M18-Redlithium-XC-5-0-Extended-Capacity-Battery-4-Pack
  18. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M18-FUEL-18-Volt-16-Gauge-Angled-Finish-Nailer-Kit-2742-21CT/206862848 Great deal on the 16 GA finish nailer kit, but not sure why the others are not on sale. I wish they had the same price on the 18 GA brad nailer kit.
  19. Can't speak for the Milwaukee rolling measure, but my Stanley does the same thing. Seems to be when I don't press the clear/reset button all the way. Disappointing to see this on Milwaukee.
  20. Anyone know how long the special buy at HD will last on the 9.0 starter kit with free fuel sawzall (or free fuel circ saw)?
  21. Very nice addition to your collection. I'm going to try and hold out thru the holidays for the OPE next spring, BUT the miter saw with 2 - 9ah batts is pretty tempting!
