  1. Don't think it's possible to argue that their impact drivers aren't the best.
  2. Lol @ that chump. Can't let ratchet threads die. Could have sworn there was a thread for ratchet collections, maybe it's in a different section. Anyway updated family photo because I can't sleep between October and March. Can't stand anything other than metal grips. Waiting for the 90 tooth SKs in different formats.
  3. Man Makita threads on here read like snap-on vs x threads on GJ
  4. I'd take Bosch 12v over M12 any day in terms of quality, but they don't have near the offerings available in the states that Milwaukee does. Just my opinion and I do have plenty of bias against Milwaukee.
  5. Hellllllllll no. Never making that mistake again. If in the off chance someone feels the need to ask about my tools and ask what kind x is I will just tell them what x is is mine. Once upon a time I had Metabo tools. I was foolish enough to explain what they were and then no one would get their M18 stuff out of their pickups and every time I turned my back someone would be using my grinder instead of theirs. If they want good shit they can buy it. If they think their shit is good then I won't press the issue if they're happy with it. As far as company tools go they're on the verge of bankruptcy as it is without any of my input on tools. They can stick to HF.
  6. Yes you can put DeWalt batteries on Mac tools and vice versa.
  7. Yeah DeWalt battery and tool with Mac covers on both. Battery cover is like $5 and impact boot is like $13. That was from when I first got it. Pretty abused like 5 months later and holding up well. Waiting for battery covers for the 6.0. Mac batteries and impact are literally identical except for color and decals.
  8. They also have lawsuits against several other companies over the same patent. Basically everyone but DeWalt, Bosch, Metabo, and Makita
  9. Okay guess it's technically black in this case.
  10. Nevermind it's almost $300 from them bare tool
  11. They are the shit. Nothing better for the money.
  12. They running a BOGO promo on those sockets again?
  13. Yeah this one was like way back in February or earlier
  14. Still a shit hoodie. At least the Bosch is a damn nice coat without any battery even. Got a few gallons of milk in my Milwaukee and after I washed it it became barely wearable as just a hoodie. The power supplies for my Bosch, DeWalt, and Milwaukee are all long gone thanks to a few characters. The DeWalt and Bosch are still fantastic standalone coats. Milwaukee one is garbage with or without the battery. Even if every other flaw was fixed it still doesn't have the runtime to be an effective alternative or even to complement conventional winter clothing. You can just get yourself warm enough that you can freeze for the next eight hours after it dies. Just my two cents. Disclaimer: I haven't tried any other Milwaukee heated gear than the hoodie and wouldn't be surprised if it's the best thing since sliced bread.
  15. I'd be surprised if they didn't. At this point no one is going to go to Lowe's for tools when there is an equally convenient Home Depot, even then if there's a HD available at all they'll probably go there. Milwaukee and Makita have to generate a considerable amount of foot traffic there. I doubt most consumers differentiate between house brand husky and house brand kobalt in a way that would benefit Lowe's. You throw up a Craftsman section and you get foot traffic from people going there for Craftsman. Kobalt tools don't have that kind of following. They'll take the hit in Kobalt sales and make up for it and then some on stuff people buy because they're there for CMan. Or who knows maybe CMan will be too high priced and see the low price on Kobalt next to it, buy the Kobalt instead. Seems like a win win for them.
  16. The Mac tools are generally direct dewalt rebrands but occasionally have over molding differences and there are a few more Mac fastening tools than dewalt has.
  17. Ace has had Sears CMan not SBD CMan
  18. Yeah I got that same kit clearanced for $35.
  19. They're also going to be selling them at Ace so it's by no means an exclusive agreement.
  20. Different target demographics. Different strokes for different folks so to speak.
  21. I think Makita may have a few more. Not familiar enough with the brands outside of red and yellow to say. Bosch doesn't have many, there are only so many formats. Maybe festool?
  22. DeWalt has at least the Flexvolt platform: 12" sliding miter 12" non sliding miter Table saw Track saw Chain saw Rear handle circ 7 1/4" sidewinder circ Recip saw So that's only 8 if you count that as a separate platform. 20v Max: Chainsaw 7 1/4" circular saw Compact recip Full size recip 6 1/2" circular saw Metal 5 1/2" circular saw Deep cut portaband Standard portaband Jig saw 7 1/4" miter saw 11 if you count that separate
