Milwaukee Magnum drill, Dewalt DW431 belt sander and an old Craftsman circular saw $58 for all. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

I used the premium 2x4x8s so they are way nicer then the studs Lowes sells. $3.53 ea vs $2.17 but they are worth it I think. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

Well I sanded the boards for one set and cut half so far. I know I will need to sand the edges after they are made too. I used 150 grit on my Dewalt orbital sander and I think I will be buying a ryobi, skil, or harbor freight bench top sander this weekend. If there isn't one at the auction tomorrow that is. Well I want to play Frisbee with Jimbo now, I heard as long as we wear gloves it's perfectly safe. As far as the blades go, I bought a $40 Dewalt combo pack with 2 10" blades from Lowes last year. Considering I used the included blade from my Harbor Freight miter saw for several years including my patio construction I am sure the Dewalts will hold up better. The guy I "inherited" all of my old Craftsman tools from, who is 82, is the one telling me to have my blades sharpened. I feel like they are disposable at that price, but I would like to try better brands like Diablo, etc (not Festool Chris, I have purchased several vehicles for less than their miter saw costs!) blades when these go bad or I see a good deal. What do you use to sharpen them? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

I only cut clean lumber with these saws, but I use a lot of treated lumber. I haven't priced professional sharpening yet, but we have a place near by that does it. My main thing is I would consider a more expensive blade if I could resharpen it a couple times for less than the cost of a new blade. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

Ok here is a question I have had for a while now. I have a 10" miter and 10" table saw that I use frequently, but not daily. Does anyone sharpen their own blades, have them professionally sharpened or do you just pitch them when they get dull?
-
After all of this I just have 2 questions... how do you mine gold with mercury and where can I get some??

I don't think the guard had anything to do with what Mike wad talking about. Cutting a 4x4 around leaning over it like that with the blade towards your body is dangerous. However, the blade depth could not possibly have went through that board and he would have had to be extremely unlucky to be injured in that situation. The shoe would have had to slip past the board at the same time he was holding the guard back and the trigger in and hit his body. Extremely unlikely, however possible I guess? Absolutely! That's great for all of those cuts Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

Great video Jimbo. This is my next M18 tool for sure. How many cuts do you think you would get out of a 5.0 pack? Did you happen to check the battery level after the video?

My first power tool was a Craftsman 3/8" drill when I was in 5th or 6th grade I believe.

People chewing with their mouth open, telemarketers, liars. Along with pretty much everything Bmack said...

Looks like a lot of work. I have never sanded epoxy so I don't have any advice, but I wish you luck.

I am not a Dewalt guy, but this is a good deal. I am holding out for Milwaukee to get into the outdoor power equipment game. -
