  1. Well NPS18 is over and we have seen Milwaukee's true answer to Flexvolt, x2, and other high demand battery platforms. Will their new battery be able to compete for another 10 years like they claimed last year? Sounded to me like the battery they engineered wasn't just a 21700 upgrade. Sounded like there was some secrets about how the battery is so powerful other than 21700 cells that Milwaukee won't tell us just yet. I'm still a bit unsure. I'm sure other brands are soon to figure out how the batteries are so powerful and integrate that tech into their own platforms and eventually surpass Milwaukee once again in performance.
  2. Hmm this is very interesting. I was watching @Eric - TIA's and @Dan - TIA's new video and it showed some banners on the wall I was surprised the new 7-1/4" circ saw specifically left out fuel but added brushless underneath. I wonder why the New circular saw is not advertised as fuel? Maybe they had 2 new models come out?
  3. I heard coil nailers in cordless are coming. No official announcement just rumors.
  4. @dilloncorr A tile saw has a chance considering Porter Cable is coming out with a cordless one if it isn't already out yet. I would like to see a "Rotex Style" sander on the flex or 20v platform. Dual mode and everything. Rumor has it that DeWALT is going to finally update 12v stuff to brushless. I don''t know if they will add anything more than what they already had but it would be neat to see some more additions to the line besides lasers.
  5. To clarify those rachets are in a slim case but not the packout slim case. Also Packout has foam inserts, a small box without metal corners, and the wall mounting plate coming.
  6. I don't have a list but maybe @JimboS1ice, @Eric - TIA, @KnarlyCarl, or someone else has made one?
  7. Ah I guess Milwaukee carefully chose their words. I would have liked a bump in rpms for completing light duty tasks faster but with more torque it will be able to sustain rpms under higher demand than the gen 2.
  8. @BK13 some say the demo was rigged but I don't know if it was or not. I thought the m18 didn't seem to bog down under load.
  9. Yeah they announced 2 new fuel jigsaws. One d handle and one barrel grip. They look nice. I never saw anything about new jigsaws before today. It caught me by surprise.
  10. The gen 3 impact is nice and all but do I really need more power in an impact driver? My 1800 in/lb DeWALT does everything I need it to. I would much rather Milwaukee go in the direction as Makita for impacts. I would rather have more control/finesse/specialty modes than MORE POWA! tm. Just about everyone is going the multi led route on impact drivers. Was disappointing Milwaukee didn't. The speed and size reduction are excellent though. Seems like the gen 3 has Makita speed now. Maybe even more. I thought the Gen 3 hammer drill driver was impressive. I'd like to see the rpm and power numbers. Milwaukee claims faster speed but is it the 3000+rpm you get with some of the premium German brands?
  11. I was right about no new battery platform and I was a bit skeptical about the updated batteries but so far it seems like it is performing well. A lot of the new stuff was expected but those jigsaw were updated out of the blue. I don't think anyone saw them coming.
  12. any word if multi chuck drill is coming? Also the new 1/2 in m12 impact wrench looks funny to me.
  13. I wouldn't mind this. Bosch and others did it I don't see why Milwaukee can't.
  14. Gen three impact coming???
  15. Another NPS2018 hint released. Guys are getting t-shirts with STUD™ on the front underneath the Milwaukee logo.
  16. what I meant was it is a rebrand of another SB&D product.
  17. I'd like to see a subcompact 18v line of tools with the size of gen 2 m12 but with more power and use of m18 batteries. Makita had the right idea with subcompact but lacked in performance when compared to gen 2 m12.
  18. Looks like Craftsman wanted in on the fun of Tstak so they are coming out with their own Tstak.
  19. I seen this and it looked cool. First time I have seen Flexvolt used on non DeWALT tools. I like how smaller companies are finally realizing it is better and more cost effective to use a tried and true battery platform instead of making their own.
  20. plus chainsaw, more carbide, and 21700 cells. A new recip saw sounds interesting. One with longer stroke, more spm, and orbital would be nice. I don't think Milwaukee is going to let Makita keep the title for best cordless hd recip saw for much longer.
  21. DeWALT Portable Power Supply 60% off from CPO. It is going for $199
  22. @HiltiWpg that the second gen or first gen oil pulse from Makita?
  23. I have seen predictions for a worm style/rear handle saw.

    2x20V lawn mower

I find mulching to put the most strain on a mower so if I were to guess you would get less runtime by mulching. Could wait for the 12 ah batteries to come out then maybe the 9 ah will be priced lower?
  25. Makita has one of the faster charge times. a 5.0 in 45 minutes isn't too bad. A few minutes faster than my flexvolt charger.
