  1. I heard Martinez hammers are great. I wouldn't be surprised if they were since he was the creator of the titanium Stileto which is supposedly really good.
  2. why not just have a heavy duty replaceable cord like Festool and Hilti?
  3. @ChrisK CMT makes a cleaner that I use to clean my router bits and blades. It seems to do the trick. It is also biodegradable, no harsh chemicals, and non toxic. It won't cause damage to the blades.
  4. @ChrisK apart from my recip saw and omt I have yet to replace the stock blades so I might not be of much help. I will try to help though. Could try Festool since you are already invested into Festool? Maybe you got a spare Kapex blade lying around? Not sure if you got a Kapex or not haha. Diablo I have heard are pretty good. Diablo has some new blades out that have a special tooth design that act similar to sandpaper to make the cut nicer and less burning I think.
  5. An M12 rivet fun and an M12 inflator are coming. If I am not mistaken ProToolReviews made posts about them.
  6. @BMack37 some ShopVac items are better than others. The yellow ones are supposedly their more pro oriented vacs. The red ones are supposedly their homeowner vacs. I have a ShopVac yellow vac. It does the job but nothing special. At work we have a handful of Craftsman vacs, one Ridgid, and one ShopVac. The Ridgid and ShopVac feel the most powerful.
  7. Stanleydirtmonkey did a cordless blower comparison recently. Anyone surprised the Makita x2 beat the EGO backpack? I sure was. I couldn't believe at how easily the Makita moved the snow over the EGO.
  8. Is it compatible with Dremel bits?
  9. Makita should have gone the Festool route. In addition to AWS tools have an AWS battery. Another idea is they could have an AWS adapter. Could be similar to the tool connect adapter.

    New Sander

These are on my wish list. I'm thinking about the 5 in ros and/or the rectangular one. I would use them with a vac instead of a bag just for that extra bit of collection.
  11. I seen a new 5 in M18 ros sander is coming.
  12. I would hope it is atleast 4 amp but I wouldn't be surprised if it was less.
  13. Today is the last day to buy Festool before the price increases tomoorow. Toolnut is stiil doing the 10% off Festool dust extractors and MFT deal which ends today as well. The new 2018 model vacs are appart of the deal as well.
  14. Sure a guy could use a 7 or 10 in sliding saw to get more capacity/portability but some cuts that require a slider with smaller blades can be done with a non sliding 12 in. Also some crown and trim is too large for smaller saws.
  15. @slopjock78 The DeWALT right angle attachment is not the best in drilling applications. I have used it to drill before and it was a challenge to put enough pressure to get the bit to drill. You have to hold the attachment in one hand and the impact in the other. After awhile it seemed to heat up and I got to the point that I had to let the bit cool down. I wasn't doing many holes. Maybe a dozen. This will do the job in a pinch but I would not recommend using it for long drilling sessions. I would second @Pouet 's idea and look into the Bosch Flexiclick.
  16. I have never used one. I learned quite a bit in the video. I had no idea Mark was the inventor of the titanium hammer. It would be nice to try out one of these hammers but at over $200 I will have to wait.
  17. @justinkendall do you mean Emerson instead of TTI?
  18. Yeah I meant to say that thanks for catching that.
  19. I found this. Haven't seen it before from Makita.
  20. DeWALT's best cordless drill driver for concrete is the DCD996 and even then all DeWALT's cordless rotary drills will be better than it. Renting one might be your best option.
  21. @khariV Makita has one that is 2 mode I believe. Toolpig did a review of it awhile back. DeWALT has a geared sander but it does not has ros mode. I would guess Milwaukee probably has at least a geared only sander but I would have to check. Mirka might have one but I would have to check as well.
  22. Both the pre march 2018 vacs and the post march 2018 vacs are being sold at same time. The premium for the new models could be worse but I expect the new ones reflect the new Festool price increase. I'm thinking about selling my Flexvolt tracksaw to a guy at work. He doesn't have one yet and he really wants one now. Got him to try mine this past week or so and he was impressed to say the least.
  23. I could see the vecturo using the sander battery instead of the normal 18v battery.
  24. I do not but I heard it is incredible. I wonder if we can expect Festool to update the Vecturo with Starlock. Not sure how close it is to the supercut. Supposedly same class of omt. I'm not looking to buy it... yet. Maybe if a cordless version comes out I will consider it. My DeWALT does the job and was good for its time but is no longer a top contender with all the starlock stuff coming out. I'm not in the market for a new omt right now. I am thinking about getting the new bluetooth compatible vacs and a couple other things next. My small shop vac brand vac is something I am looking to upgrade.
