  1. saw that a new fuel multichuck m12 drill is coming out.
  2. @TylerMonk smaller than a generator and you don't have to deal with fuel and engine maintenance. I don't know runtime number but I would guess it wouldn't be long.
  3. Milwaukee came out with a new m12 multichuck drill that is now a fuel model in Europe. One can only hope one comes to the North American market.
  4. I don't know if that filter will work but if it doesn't could a flexvolt power supply work as a last resort to power a vac that accepts the m class filter?
  5. There are a few new tough system items this year. We got the new 2 drawer, a 3 drawer, van rack, an insulated box/cooler (only seen the Europe version but we can hope it comes to North America), and 4 port fast charger. I might have missed some but those are what are coming. Some of those things you mentioned like the barrel grip are supposedly coming but not officially announced yet. Some guys who are in the know have said they are coming.
  6. Put in some hurricane screws today in a new house build... with a cordless drill. Told to use the corded drill. Used it for 2 screws and said nope to it and pulled out my DCD996 and went to town. They said it couldn't be done, and on one battery? that is crazy talk.
  7. Seems like if you have 1 battery or 4 charging it will charge them all at the fast charge rate at the same time. Many times in multiport chargers you have some kind of drawback whether it can only charge one battery at a time or it will charge multiple batteries at a time but at a reduced rate. I like this charger. Put one to four 9.0's on the charger, wait 90 minutes and you got them all fully charged. The tough system compatibility is nice. It is nice to see some more specialty tough system items/compatible items get announced. I might consider getting this charger. I'm also looking at some of the other new tough system items like the drawer units and the cooler.
  8. this saw bare tool is $229 on toolnut right now
  9. Saw this post on ToolGuyd. I have not seen these before. http://toolguyd.com/klein-powered-by-dewalt-cordless-power-tools/
  10. I could see its value on the jobsite. It would depend on the situation. I would rather take one charger instead of 4 on some jobs but may only need 1 or 2 on other jobs. I would agree in my situation a garage is probably a better fit.
  11. @Eric - TIA will there be more new stuff tomorrow?
  12. Looks like Stanley is exceptionally happy in the picture,
  13. That charger sounds pretty nice. I like the tough system compatibility. Also they specifically mention it works with 12v batteries. Maybe that is a sign of more 12v to come? Sounds like every slot charges at the same time and at the fast charge speed. I wonder what the price will be. I think $100 would be a reasonable price.
  14. This looks cool. 4 new assist modes, 4 speed, 2 triggers, faster fast charger (6.0 charged in 40 minutes), and dual leds.
  15. I hope we get info on the triple hammer Metabo Impact.
  16. Starts on Tuesday. Goes until Friday. I think we can expect a fair bit of tools to be shown off. Maybe we could post any updates on here.
  17. My Bosch bit set came today. It seems nice enough. The case is nice and even has a rubber like material on the edges for added protection. It is a nice touch. My work bought a new air stapler. It is a cap stapler from Stinger. I didn't get a chance to use it but was told it works well. We didn't use it much. We planned to use it more but were only able to use it for the valley paper. We were gonna try some new to us roofing material called RhinoRoof and instal it with the Stinger stapler. It is a synthetic replacement to tar paper. Almost seemed like a similar feel to Tyvek paper. After reading the label on the roll of RhinoRoof we found out using staples with RhinoRoof will void the warranty. After a bit of research as to why, we found out they claim staples could tear the paper. We only had the 20 paper but apparently if we had the 50 paper we could have used the staples without voiding the warranty. Apparently certain sizes are acceptable on the 50 without voiding the warranty. So instead of stapling the paper we hand drove it with some cap nails. I think my boss is going to switch out the stapler with the nailer version. They are cool staplers. It has 2 chambers. On one you feed the roll of caps then on the other side you put in your staples. It then joins the 2 together when it shoots. I would guess the nailer functions like the stapler.
  18. I would second this. I would be an advocate for any brand of battery fits any brand of tool.
  19. My Gloves arrived today. I hope they will work. They are Ironclad Tundra gloves. 200 gram insulation, full water and wind proof, and kevlar reinforced material. Rated for as cold as 0 degrees F. Should keep my hands warm, dry, and provide some protection.
  20. White used to be kinda like the equivalent of Bosch green tools if I am not mistaken
  21. On home depot I seen the m18 hammer drill driver impact kit is cheaper than the drill driver impact kit
  22. The trend is going thinner and wider headlights. With LED's you don't need as much space and can pretty much make em into any shape. The revamped Jeep Cherokee is one of the best examples. The lights in the front almost look like they forgot to add the main lights. Guess the Frontier is the last pickup needing an update. Supposedly it is getting one soon but no official announcements yet. Supposedly the Toyota offerings might get new gens soon. They recently had a mid gen refresh but not a completely new gen.
