  1. The deal is even better. 2 free 5.2 batteries plus $50 off.
  2. looking great.
  3. Considering everything is brushless that is a decent deal. For the saws you will want to look into getting either the flexvolt batteries or the 6.0 20v which uses larger more powerful cells. At the very least you will want a 20v 5.0 or 4.0.
  4. @Bremon not sure but I heard something awhile back that Makita had planned to use 21700 cells.
  5. Does the jobsite SawStop have a good fence?
  6. Looks like it is another road show type deal. Almost sounded like there were multiple trucks so maybe more events will happen than the other guys who do road shows? https://www.makitatools.com/drivinginnovation/?utm_source=Makita+Subscriber&utm_campaign=039dc458ad-driving_innovation_2018_06_25&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_653957b024-039dc458ad-205966177
  7. my guess is they will finally announce their 21700 packs but so far I haven't heard anything from Makita today.
  8. Are you looking for portability? If so any hybrid saw should do the trick. Grizzly, Jet, Powermatic, and SawStop also have Hybrid saws. Might be worth looking into if you want a more premium option.
  9. @cliu Does it have a riving knife? If it does you should be okay. Many saws come with both a riving knife and a blade guard. Both are riving knives but the blade guard allows dust collection to be connected.
  10. Some Makita Driving Innovation tour is tomorrow. I don't know much about it but from the posts on instagram I have seen, it kinda seems like another road show similar to what Festool, Bosch, and DeWALT offer.
  11. you can also buy Stanley Fatmax branded tstaks at Menards
  12. @Scott B they coming to North America? I wasn't sure because I seen it was a UK website.
  13. does that trimmer not accept the standard batteries or just the backpack pack?
  14. @rrich1 I meant taking the part of a level that houses the bubble and kinda inlay it of sorts into the top.
  15. some of the 6 in sandpaper and 6in sanders are on sale as well
  16. I am not sure, maybe a scraper blade?
  17. you going to instal a level on your top?
  18. Is Tigerwood the wood known for causing lots of splinters?
  19. I have had charging issues with two of my Flex 2/6 batteries. I sent the one in and was sent a replacement. I found out about the other one a couple days ago but haven't sent it in yet.
  20. So your saying the cordless router is confirmed?
  21. What about an adjustable shoe haha.
  22. According to DeWALT the 577 is an 1/8" less cut depth than the Makita. Also I would rather pay for my Healthcare instead of it being "free" thank you very much. I have never used the 577 so I can't confirm if it has less cut depth. I'm just going from on paper specs.
  23. Even a 2.0 will drain quickly. Getting at least a 10 cell pack will see noticeable improvement. A 4.0 or a 5.0 are probably the most cost effective 10 cell options
  24. so basically they have to be tool batteries?
  25. All I know is some people on this forum have insider info. Stuff coming in summer. My best guess is they are under an embargo which prohibits talk about products until either DeWALT says they can talk about them or the items officially get publicly announced. Myself and @Framer joe are not one of those people who have this insider info. Both of us wish we were. haha
