  1. well this was the best they had.
  2. Is DeWALT going to GIE+ EXPO this year? I seen EGO is going and I think Makita (might show off a rumored ope specific battery platform) I'd like to see an EGO pole hedge trimmer attachment for the power head system. A dual stage EGO snowblower would be cool.
  3. so closer to flexvolt than x2 I guess
  4. Most Makita tools have a gauge on the tool. Guess you have 2 ways to check battery life now.
  5. 21700 would make flex even bigger than the 9.0 which would seem like a bad idea considering it is already big enough. I think DeWALT should wait for solid state battery tech. If Makita is going 21700 then x2 may start outperforming Flexvolt. They are already pretty close in performance.
  6. Maybe Makita did plunge router as well?
  7. coptool did a nice review on packout
  8. Still available incase anyone was wondering.
  9. all tools get 36v power? or is there 36v specific tools that can work in 18v mode if needed?
  10. the new tough system drawer unit is not only coming in a 3 drawer version but there will be a new 2 drawer version as well
  11. What I meant was it would be nice to buy cordless from any brand without worrying about battery compatibility. Also DHS790
  12. Batteries are nice but they introduced an issue that you did not have with corded. With corded you could buy the best of the best period. With cordless you can buy the best of the best but only from the battery platforms you own unless you buy into a new battery platform. Would be nice to have "universal batteries" any brand of battery fits any brand of tool. Kinda like what Fein and Bosch tried with Starlock on OMT's.
  13. Decided I would keep 2 of the 4 pieces I bought to use to fix a basic workbench in my garage then I returned 2 pieces to my local lumber yard and ask for a good plywood for painting and came back with 3 pieces of ac plywood.
  14. no idea. maybe extra strength or moisture resistance? I guess it is better to over do it than under do it.
  15. I don't know if everyone was affected but I think @Hugh Jass had a preorder from cpo and canceled cause they were gonna charge for the free tool.
  16. well it may have something to do with insurance. Some windows were leaking and they decided to redo the sheathing on one of the walls. I think another reason was so they could look at the framing.

    Makita App

not sure about this. I would've thought it would make more sense to allow the battery to connect to the app with bluetooth?
  18. the guys at work used some 3/4 advantec flooring as wall sheathing for siding job we had.
  19. yeah the pancakes are just annoyingly loud.
  20. our crew uses caulking guns. I've never seen any foam adhesive used. They foam the windows for insulation but thats it.
  21. What I meant was they said a deal is a deal and they kept their word on it. The free tool promo stayed free. Cpo started charging people for free tools even if they got the free tool promo.

    1/2" Impacts

with the one key version I'm sure you could change the rpm of that feature or if a tool connect version comes out do the same.
  23. They could easily convert their 6 gallon pancake to a flexvolt 120v.
