  1. something as simple as a rubber adapter that can be reformed if heated in warm water would probably work.
  2. Congratulations we have a winner. Your turn to ask the question.
  3. Well I tested the vac adapter set I got today. It doesn't really work on any of my stuff but for as cheap as it was I figured I would give it a shot. Maybe one day I will find a vac adapter kit with sizes I need. It is hard when you have 3 or 4 different sizes of dust ports on tools from 2 brands using a vac from a third brand.
  4. @KnarlyCarl yes, that is the video.
  5. So I am finally interested in getting a quality bit set. I'm interested in something a little more than what my Flextorq set offers. I haven't had any complaints with my Flextorq set except it is missing a few bits that I occasionally use like Pozidriv and small sizes of flathead/strait/standard/or whatever it is called. A few screws used in Pella windows are Pozidriv and the Festool router guide rail kit uses them. I sometimes find the need for smaller flat head bits for older house hardware and whatnot. I have seen guys like both Wera and Felo on the forum so whats the pros/cons of each. I'm sure both brands are great.
  6. Bought these today Cheap vac adapter kit, 50 pk of carbide utility knife blades, Glü-Bot, and a Performax Pozidriv bit. That Pozidriv bit was a bear to find. I tried HD, Builders, Tractor Supply, and finally found it at Menards. I needed one to adjust my Festool router guide rail kit. Planing on getting a quality German bit kit in the future that will include one but this will do for now.
  7. I seen this saw at HD today. Not great for a lefty since the lock button is only on one side.
  8. What brand of cordless blower does Dude Perfect use in the video titled "Giant Basketball Trick Shots | Dude Perfect"?
  9. someone could easily 3d print prototypes of the "ideal modular storage system" get support by a larger company to make producing the boxes in bulk more feasible.
  10. so what are the advantages of a scroll saw vs a bandsaw or jigsaw?
  11. I'm probably just ship it with the shipping label DeWALT sent me. Sure I may be out of one battery but when I got 6 other flexvolt 2/6 batteries its not that big of a deal.
  12. I have a couple duplicates of hand tools but for power tools at this point in time I am trying to maximize my function. Marc from the wood whisperer had a good example. He said something along the lines you own a cordless drill and are looking at buying a drill press and a jointer but only have money in the budget for one or the other. He then asks which do you get and he explains you get the jointer because it has more function that you don't already have. A drill press and cordless drill have similar function and wouldn't provide as much function that you don't already have. I may get duplicates of power tools in the future but hopefully to provide extra function that I wouldn't already have. For shear convenience only doesn't really appeal to me.
  13. well almost. Some online stores and smaller stores sell Milwaukee stuff.
  14. Makes you wonder how many people aren't following safety rules, are unwilling to follow them, or don't even know what the safety rules are. Like my work for example. I put in effort to keep safe but its hard when others don't care as much. I could be like use a vac with your tool will ya and they could be like na its too inconvenient. Monday was a great example. We had a tin roofing job on an old wood frame barn. Not only was the roof slick, we were instructed to walk on the trusses only. To me it looked like the boards nailed on top of the trusses, that were kinda like the sheathing, were not very strong anymore and some even wore/rotted loose. One of our guys actually slid off the roof. He didn't get hurt or anything but it could've been worse. They actually attempted to be "safe" by having a guy stand at the ridge with a rope tied to himself and a guy working below.
  15. framing lumber is actually milled to 2x before the drying process but after it is dried it shrinks to around 1-1/2x but in a way 2x is still correct. One could say 20v in a way is correct. At one point in time the nominal was the actual.
  16. had a scroll saw in my high school. It was a DeWALT if I remember correctly. Maybe used it once in my 3 years of taking woods class.
  17. could say the same for 2x lumber right? Force it to be called 1-1/2"x Did I hear that m12 was actually 12v and not 12v max or could I be mistaken?
  18. hows does this compare to the 6 in flex grinder?
  19. so DeWALT replied back and they said I can ship my battery to some DeWALT place in Kansas and has already given me an email with a shipping label. Do I ship the battery to have DeWALT look at it or do I try one of the locations from the 68959 zip search on DeWALT's website for authorized service centers? I only really found one place that looked like it sold DeWALT items so I figured I would be able to try em on Saturday. I would've expected Builders or Home Depot to show up but guess not? I am in no rush I got 6 other batteries to use in the meantime.
  20. ah I understand now. I'm not sure anout the vac bag. If anything you would want a cyclone?
  21. Many brands are going brushless. Hilti is one exception where they still use brushed motors.
  22. Instead of using the bag in the dust port you use the vac in the dust port.
  23. actually the hawgs count for 4 if you count the jaw chuck vs quick release chuck variants then you got the standard drill. If you count impact drivers and impact wrenches there would be 2 more. I guess my answer is 7 if you count them all. You could technically count any drill if you add a right angle attachment to it.
  24. @Nordraw JCPennys? This is a surprise to me. I was unaware of it going. The one near me seems to do well.
  25. @Turner85 I would use a vac because the harmful dust is the dust you can't see. Also would be less cleanup if the vac gets the chips.
