  1. I'd say 2017 wasn't rapid but not lacking either. A bunch of tools released at once seems like more than the same amount spread out over the year. We still gotta consider there is still 4 months left in the year which is plenty of time to announce new flexvolt tools. We have already gotten 9 or so flexvolt releases this year which is an average of 1 tool a month. @Framer joe what flexvolt was promised and what is needed?
  2. Advantec seems like good quality osb. The guys at work say it doesn't swell.

    DEWALT Radio

I was just saying the same argument for disallowing earbuds could hold true to a jobsite radio if we assume it is set at a loud volume. Many crews like to crank it up haha
  4. at least in the north american market it is but I am not sure about other markets.

    DEWALT Radio

similar idea as wearing earbuds around coworkers. no radio reduces noise so communication is easier.

    1/2" Impacts

Maybe the precision mode on the mid range impact wrench has been fine tuned to work better.
  7. many grinders have this feature but some do not like the new Bosch grinder.
  8. I also seen a kit that includes the new brushless grinder and the new 20v only 6.0 batteries.
  9. I would think a hose would snag less. Milwaukee is adding a 4 position blade holder in the next Sawzall?
  10. It's just wiping some dust off that switch cover haha.
  11. I found a kit for the new 20v circular saw. I noticed it is coming with a fast charger. I wonder if more 20v kits will include the fast charger.
  12. If I'm not mistaken the Makita is hybrid but power is less on x2 mode.

    DEWALT Radio

I am the type to have music at a low volume and my hearing is in general good so I hear everything others say just fine but I can understand why some crews don't allow them. I don't mind working without music either. I figure if all I'm doing is painting or staining by myself, it's not a big deal. If I am working with others or doing building or demo I wouldn't use them. A guy I went to school with said where he works doesn't even use radios.
  14. torx is becoming increasingly common. framing screws to finish screws to cabinet screws. Some drywall screws are going square as well.
  15. Actually Makita has and x2 vac. Not the backpack one. It looks like their corded vacs.
  16. It hasn't been tons of tools released after flexvolt launch but it has been steady releases. First we got the 3.0/9.0 battery and ope, then we got the track saw, then out of the blue heres a compressor for ya, then we get a mixer and rear handle saw coming soon. Maybe not a zillion tools at once but we have gotten some new flexvolt every few months this year.
  17. October 2 is release date for those sanders. I may try em as a second sander but I'm trying to get the rotex 150 so I can fine sand but also MORE POWA sand as well.

    New Sander

I saw this comes out October 2
  19. REALLY?!?!? but it's DeWALT
  20. well they may not have as good of a selection of dedicated lights as Milwaukee but the lights on their tools are some of the best. A few new ones have that 3 mode 60 lumen light which is great.
  21. Phillips is not great but for whatever reason it sticks around so we gotta have the bits for it haha. I prefer square or torx.
