Hugh Jass
Negative. Zero information even in rumors about this one.
fastman
Met local rep while at HD. Rep says if it is on the Web Site now it will be in stores Aug 15 (at least for his stores) most of the 20v product will be part of a separate news release likely fall availability. Asked about the caulk gun he said it is a major step up from the old 18v, be worth the wait. Had a hands on with flexvolt...WOW Just WOW!!!! did not have date for power station or 9a battery yet.
Hugh Jass
How exactly do you update a caulk gun to make it a major update? I think they could probably run off of AA's more less 20v.
Bremon
Lol depends what you're pushing out of it I guess. Plus, ergonomics or some convenience features could make it better. Just grabbing at straws here. On the other hand, reps do want to move product after all.

One would think that DeWalt would hyper up a press release about new 20V tools. Having said that, they probably don't want to take the luster off of their new platform either...decisions, decisions. Any news on maybe a 20V sander? I heard that they're working on a brad nailer but the biggest concern is size, Stuart on Toolguyd mentioned that DeWalt didn't want it being the same size as their finish nailer.

Well you have to remember they need to compete with their pneumatic counterparts, and pneumatic brad nailers are freaking tiny. Hard to sell on reduced capability due to maneuverability, and it's hard to get the architecture down to that level and maintain power and serviceability as well. That said, I really want to see them produce the unit with a positive placement tip. If it took another year to get that right, I'll wait patiently. KnarlyCarl
I can't find it anymore, but the caulk gun I saw was for the two part setup, and has a dial to dispense a certain amount each time the trigger is pulled. Bremon
My experience with 2component caulking guns is that the process is messy and rage-inducing. If Dewalt can change that then I will be impressed. Some adhesives are awful to work with.
DR99
It has to be annoying to some people that it took Dewalt to release a cordless caulk gun for the 20v line. The 20v line is pretty much filled out but some tools took way too long to make in to the line. I get bringing innovation but still 5 years is a long time to wait

ryanbrec
You got me scanning the background. Looks like a couple possible versions of shears and caulking guns. Also looks like a 20v concrete vibrator. I guess this is the year of the yellow. Some new tech, and finally a lot of older 18v tools on the 20v platform. Hugh Jass
I just realized they had a wobble light at that demo...wonder what the hell they were thinking about. Hopefully they didn't fire that up during the comparison if they did one, the brightness would shame that Dewalt light.
