KnarlyCarl
Yes, I saw his post on Instagram, didn't get to watching it yet, good to see they're using the good cells AVE would have no qualms about tearing it down completely lol Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
RickyMcGrath
He should invest in at least a multimeter to see about taking some readings on the battery voltage. Someone send AvE a FlexVolt battery!!
Bremon
Looks like a high quality unit. Hopefully that bar/disconnect for shipping is solely that and isn't a moving part that's integral to switching between 20v and 60v on the tool. More moving parts = more wear and tear, though I dare say the cells will likely be shot before that. Springs are an easy fix anyway, but still, less moving parts = better. The housing itself is really quite nice. I've been impressed with my M18 5.0s when I took them apart, and their chips aren't absolutely coated like that, so Dewalt looks to be catching up or surpassing Milwaukee w regards to durability, pack construction, and potentially weather resistance. If they can match M18 build quality on batteries then I'll be very pleased, if they surpass, well I can't wait until the 9.0 HD and FlexVolt are out!
