Bremon Posted August 11, 2016 Report Posted August 11, 2016 Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but I just read about it on toolguyd. did a search for the model number and nothing came up. To me it looks very similar to the M12, same length, similar weight. It doesn't have tool-less blade change. Hopefully the price is right. Good to see them expanding CXT at a fairly rapid pace. Competition improves the breed. Quote
DR99 Posted August 12, 2016 Report Posted August 12, 2016 Can't believe it doesn't have a tool less blade change though 1 Quote
JimboS1ice Posted August 12, 2016 Report Posted August 12, 2016 Must have cheaper or to compete with the m12 price Jimbo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
DR99 Posted August 12, 2016 Report Posted August 12, 2016 Yep that's sadly why they omitted it was to keep a pricepoint. Quote
Bremon Posted August 12, 2016 Author Report Posted August 12, 2016 Why be a leader in quality when you can engage in a race to the bottom on price/feature? That's rhetorical and I don't want to hear the sad answer lol. Quote
jeffmcmillan Posted August 12, 2016 Report Posted August 12, 2016 A tooled blade change is so backwards when other companies are pushing a one handed blade change. Quote
Bremon Posted August 12, 2016 Author Report Posted August 12, 2016 Apparently they also have a USB power source coming out, which looks like a miniature version of the 18v and has a belt clip as well. I really like the design of Makita power sources. My M12 one is compact and portable, the M18 should have 2 USB I feel. The Dewalt I'm not sure if I'll buy; it has slow output and doesn't positively lock onto the battery from my understanding. Quote
Logan Posted August 12, 2016 Report Posted August 12, 2016 I would pay a little more to get tool less blade change 1 Quote
