If someone else beats them to the punch on a particular gimmick they just make their own shameless copy of it. Research the Bionic Wrench fiasco for a perfect example of this. I know everyone here has seen these but they are so fucking funny. I did buy that auto tape when I was 18 years old I still have it and it works great its just way too bulky for everyday use though.
