Robo
Over the past 18 months I have been replacing my corded Dewalt tools with cordless. Despite communications with Dewalt via a chat line their response did not resolve the question of when will a cordless belt sander be introduced to the range. I would appreciate if anybody could answer this question as I am reluctant to purchase from other manufacturers

I have seen a video of Makita patent for one, but not available yet.
DR99
The only tool brand to release a cordless belt sander was Ridgid https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-18V-Brushless-Cordless-3-in-x-18-in-Belt-Sander-Tool-Only-R86065B/300716202?source=shoppingads&locale=en-US&pla&mtc=Shopping-CM-F_D29A-G-D29A-Multi-Multi-NA-Feed-PLA_LIA-NA-NA-MinorAppl_Special_Buys&cm_mmc=Shopping-CM-F_D29A-G-D29A-Multi-Multi-NA-Feed-PLA_LIA-NA-NA-MinorAppl_Special_Buys-71700000042813121-58700005464629311-92700067963002094&gclid=Cj0KCQiAuvOPBhDXARIsAKzLQ8EEK_GSUNRMVcIw6MDnQalrgkFJJwVJp5T6w8MgZ1ZPrNmjLqlYjAUaAnx9EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

Altan
I have never considered Ridgid and Ryobi as professional brands. I always look for tools and news from Hilti, DeWALT and the brands use DeWALT batteries (Facom, MacTools, Graco and others), Makita and the brands use Makita batteries (GreenLee), Bosch and the brands use Bosch batteries (Fein, Cox...), Metabo and the brands use Metabo batteries (Cordless Alliance System) and Festool. I do check Milwaukee very rarely also. To me it is important to have all the tools working with the same battery, to reduce the amount of chargers at work, so I am a big fan of battery alliances, Ryobi and Ridgid do not fit in these categories.
