Dewalt DW872 Dry Cut - Now that's how you cut metal!

The dewalt uses a cold cut carbide tip blade and the makita uses an abrasive blade.  We've had the dewalt for a number of years and the two saws are night and day different.  I still get your point about wanting it to be a cordless model and to be honest I don't really know why they couldn't make the cold cut saw in a battery platform.  I don't really see the power requirements being much different.

I don't understand the logic behind their policies in making new tools. Makita and Milwaukee seem to make more new cordless tools than DeWALT and Bosch, now I follow Metabo the most as they keep adding new brands in their Cordless Alliance System platform, and I have the feeling that they will be almost in the same level as these four by 2024. CAS brands have much more European made tools than others.
