roadhog96
Does anyone know if there are any differences between the motors on these 18V tools? DC823 3/8" impact wrench DC820 1/2" impact wrench DCF826 1/4" impact driver compact DC827 1/4" impact driver XRP I'm curious if they all use the same motor. If I had to guess it would be the DC820 because its a half inch drive and probably requires more considerable more torque but that might be possible to accomplish with the gearing instead of motor size, but that's nothing more than a guess. I think some time back someone said the DC826 and DC827 were the same other than the size batteries they came with.
kjones
Everything on those models is the same except for the wrench size. The torque varies purely from greater or lessor surface area contact between 1/4" hex, 3/8" and 1/2" sizes.
