Javier
This is the second part of good versus evil. The second battle of the century. Dewalt 20V Max DCD995 against the Milwaukee M18 Fuel 2604-20In this tool battle I put them head to head using 1-1/4" speedbor max bits into a 4x6 using the same 4.0 ah batteries.Check it out to see who won... NicholasShetley
That was a lot closer than I thought it would be.
ChrisK
Nice job Javier. Great review. I'm glad the battery in Big Red has this design I had no idea. Great fight and good job Dewalt. Never let it be said I won't bow down to the competition when it prevails........even if it is colored dog urine yellow
dwain
Great job Javier! So from your results, the FUEL is a MUCH better masonry driller, while the 995 is the better (only in runtime) in high torque applications. Is that an accurate summary? Which is your favoured drill? (ignoring other questions of platform commitment etc.)
Javier
Thanks guysAs for a favorite, it's like the Ford vs Chevy debate. Dewalt is ford and Milwaukee Chevy. I like Chevy'sI like them both
ChrisK
Whoa whoa whoa.....Dewalt is Ford. Milwaukee is Ram. Chevy is for the ladies going to the grocery. Toyota.....well Toyota is Festool
Javier
Toyota is great but it's an everyman's vehicle, wouldn't a festool be more like a Lexus? Mercedes? BMW?
regopit
Good review Javier and if anyone cares I have this drill for sale Brand new and never used and I have just add a Brand new charger and a 3.0 Battery to sweeten the deal.
DR99
The results are very similar to the friday night tool fight Dan and Eric did awhile ago. What still surprises me is the huge difference in masonry drilling performance. I wonder if better gearing with the Dewalt 3 speed helps Dewalt eek out the win over Milwaukee. I would like so see a review of that 4 speed Fein drill that thing seems pretty beastly, and possibly the 4 speed Festool drill when it makes it over here. dwain
i'll be posting a review of the 4 Speed FEIN in the next week or two. (Also hoping to try out the big Makita, maybe )
DR99
The one thing that interests me is the crazy Auxiliary handle that thing is huge on the new Makita. I might have to pick that new Makita drill up it sounds pretty interesting and I need some Makita batteries.
Punda1991
Festool is the Bentley, hilti is hummer, Milwaukee is Ferrari, dewalt is Kia, makita is a scooter and metabo Is range rover! Don't argue people
dwain
you do realise that this thread was about the Dewalt drill beating the Milwaukee
Kenneth Denmark
Festool is the Bentley, hilti is hummer, Milwaukee is Ferrari, dewalt is Kia, makita is a scooter and metabo Is range rover! Don't argue peopleI must say being strongly disagree with you. I work as a carpenter for many years and working with all these brands ... and your comparisons do not fit ... Oversættelsebut as a representative of dewalt, I have to refrain from saying anything about how good or bad the others are ..:-)
Punda1991
I'm joking about dewalt haha I had to mess with you guys! I like dewalt, but for my line of work Milwaukee is better
ChrisK
Pahhhhh....Dewalt.....phooey! Although, and I'll review it soon, I just got my first Dewalt Tough Box, the small. It ain't small!
BababooeyHTJ
The difference in runtime between the two is definitely noticable.
chadlanthier
Awesome video. I definitely wood not compare the dewalt to a ford or a Kia. Considering the Milwaukee shut off because of a little heat, I think I would compare it to the ford. Definitely going to catch some heat over that one.
Punda1991
That drills going on three years old I think and is neck and neck with their new flagshit drill...
