Hah! That's funny. At least they discounted the older model instead of increasing the price on the new one. The extra $50 seems well worth it, though, cause aside from the fact the tool is much improved the batteries are now XC5.0 instead of 4.0.

I've seen the Gen2 kits listed for 20-30 dollars Canadian more than Gen1. Well worth it.

you might just be right about that. newest gen seems like a worthwhile upgrade for a lot of people. hell, they raised the price of their tool chest, why not their premium drills?

The Gen2 drills are a direct replacement for the M18 Fuel line. It think they would be afraid that the higher prices would scare away customers!!
