Dennis Myhand
I have a Makita chop saw which just stopped working a couple of days ago. Not heavily used. There are 5 wires which connect to the switch. Can someone tell me where I should see connectivity and where I shouldn't when the switch is closed? Thanks, Dennis Myhand
jeffmcmillan
If you open it up the actual switching component inside should have markings to show what the connections are and a model number you can look up for more detail. Andrius
You can do it in other way. First take out carbon brushes and turn on your tool. Measure voltage on both carbon bruch units. If it's show 0 volts then check voltage on switch power input. If you have voltage on caebon brush holders then you need to replaces armature or carbon brushes. It thats not help please tell model
