NicholasShetley Posted March 7, 2016 Report Posted March 7, 2016 Stuart from toolguyd posted an article on some new Bosch recip saws. One is an 18v and the other is corded. The corded one has a 1600 watt motor and has a nearly 12 inch wood cutting capacity. They also contain a counter weight in the gearbox for reduced vibration as well. They are to be released in September in Europe. No word on a USA release yet.http://toolguyd.com/bosch-ergonomic-cordless-corded-reciprocating-saws/?utm_source=post&utm_medium=web&utm_campaign=next-posts
Stercorarius Posted March 7, 2016 Report Posted March 7, 2016 I usually love the look of Bosch toolls, but I just threw up a little bit. 1
KnarlyCarl Posted March 7, 2016 Report Posted March 7, 2016 The battery placement looks like an afterthought Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 1
JimboS1ice Posted March 7, 2016 Report Posted March 7, 2016 Definitely different, be interesting to see how they perform.
HiltiWpg Posted March 7, 2016 Report Posted March 7, 2016 Dust Buster Should have awesome balance though! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Poisonfangs85 Posted March 7, 2016 Report Posted March 7, 2016 Dust Buster Should have awesome balance though! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk I was thinking Dust Buster as well. I'll stick with my Milwaukee. This one is a design miss for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Logan Posted March 7, 2016 Report Posted March 7, 2016 Looks a little weird but I would how it will perform
comp56 Posted March 7, 2016 Report Posted March 7, 2016 interesting to see how well it cuts and the comfort while cutting....
dwain Posted March 7, 2016 Report Posted March 7, 2016 gees I hope to get hands on one of these to find out! i have the new 18V one on the way (like looks like a hackzall), will be interesting to see how it performs too... 1
kruton Posted March 8, 2016 Report Posted March 8, 2016 I'm not crazy about the looks, but being pretty isn't really what tools are for I guess. Would have been nice to have one to try out while I was tearing my bathroom apart. Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk
jeffmcmillan Posted March 8, 2016 Report Posted March 8, 2016 With the battery forward, the balance might be worse than a normal saw. It's definitely different, but I don't see it being more comfortable than a normal design even in odd positions. Hilti got it right years ago, why not just copy them 2

WeldfabNeil Posted March 14, 2016 Report Posted March 14, 2016 I would think the boschs handle style an battery placement would get in the way. Especially when cutting close to the floor or up going up against a wall. I know you can maneuver the tool but you can only angle it so much. with that said I would still give it a try. 1
HiltiWpg Posted March 14, 2016 Report Posted March 14, 2016 I don't mean to sound rude here but that thing looks like a childs toy. Matel made, Matel designed, for the little tyke that could. I don't mean to sound rude here but that thing looks like a childs toy. Matel made, Matel designed, for the little tyke that could. Use it, you'll understand the ergonomics. The standard long format makes it easy to get fatigued and promotes an awkward stance. Having the blade much closer to your support hand makes it easier to control and maneuver. Craigh9916 Posted March 14, 2016 Report Posted March 14, 2016 It's hilti so it will work great Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

HiltiWpg Posted June 17, 2016 Report Posted June 17, 2016 The first time I saw a Hackzall I thought it was fugly. Now I love the design. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
