  1. So funny, a guy I work with is into tools as much as I am… His fiancé looked at his searches on amazon and said No Festool for you! that stuff is too expensive. He wants a track saw as bad as I do. Since he is getting married in a few months I suggested he put it on his wedding registry. Now I'm afraid he will get a track saw before me.

  4. The guy who posted the pics was a freelance scenic painter, not a full time employee of the shop. we are jamming right now, 70+ hours last week. We were instructed no phones out in the shop. The client hired security to watch the cameras in the shop till work is complete. It sucks because we build some crazy stuff. This is something we pumped out in a couple of days, so you guys will just have to see the after, not before. I switched crews recently and build cooler stuff now

  6. That's cool. In my family we have tool showers for guys. Figured its not fair just the woman get showers. Seems a little early for her to be checking his Amazon searches. Might want to rethink this. LOL

  16. I picked up a set of Swanson Savage straight edges on Amazon that came today. I grabbed lengths 2ft, 4ft, and 8ft. Since it looks like the track saw is blade right I said screw it and bought these instead for a fraction of the price. They seem to be great quality and highly accurate holding them up together in front of a light gives nearly 0 bleed through which is impressive. I used the 4ft scoring drywall today and it worked beautifully. No more checking 2x4's for a straight one to guide me. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0083SGRT4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

  17. Well I am officially an owner of some EGO. I purchased a blower and hedge trimmer from Home Depot. I thought the batteries would be bigger but they are only a 2.0 and a 2.5 so not too big. This is the first blower I have owned. The 24in hedge trimmer is a nice upgrade to the old corded b&d 13in I currently have.

  21. Sorry to read this dude. Have to love the USA. Have to hate attorneys. It's amazing what you can get sued for but it's totally understandable in today's day and age for the need to be liability conscious. I spend every day of my work week weighing liability. It gets old, I hate to say but glad I'm not the only one looking at those perspectives.

  24. He meant the likelihood of weaker fastening with d-head nails. As for residential construction in New Zealand, majority of timber framing is done with Paslode d-head nails. What is the regulation of clipped head nails in North America?

  27. Doesn't Makita have 6.0 batteries out now? stick 2 of them puppies on an x2 tool and you'll get 36v power with 6.0 runtime. It'll beat M18 HD 9.0's and the Flexvolt 9.0/3.0's

  28. Mrs. Conductor came to the realization years ago that parking a car in our garage was a pipe dream. When it's cold, I go start her car for her. It's well worth the sacrifice. Once in awhile she gets pissy about something totally unrelated and gives me the "(insert random friend) doesn't have half the garage we do and she gets to park in it!" To which I usually make some degrading comment about random friend's husband's questionable manhood due to his lack of excessive amounts of tools and forget about it.
