  1. I think you guys are correct in terms of the verbiage and what country is referring to the tool. I could be wrong, but I think one time a rotary hammer was just for drilling and fastening. Then I think Hilti or another company came out with the rotary that also chipped and called it the combi. I am probably wrong, but I thought that was something someone told me a while back. In regards to bits, I have had the best luck with Hilti and Bosch, with Hilti being the top. When i was a labor, we destroyed so much concrete and it always seemed like the Hilti kept going and would outlast the Bosch. It didn't matter how many holes or what we chiseled, they just seemed to last. Not knocking Bosch, they make great bits and I use those also. Again that was back in the 90's, so things could have changed. We reviewed a cordless Combi a while back and had some Hilti bits. I gave one of the contractors some bits and I know he swears by the Hilti. Same thing for diamond blades. I really only like the Hilti blades. Not knocking the other brands for their diamond blades, but Hilti just seems like they have that one nailed down. I use to use the Hilti diamond cups all the time to cut concrete from over pour and they would rip through concrete like butter. Don't get me wrong, you won't be disappointed with the Bosch bits, I just prefer the Hilti. I have to say the Hilti TE 50 won't disappoint you as long as that is the size you need for your applications.
  2. Did you get a chance to pick the nailer up and fire a couple shots?
  3. It sounds cool, but that is a big price. Would like to compare it against the Paslode.
  4. Wow I never knew they had so many. That does say a lot.
  5. I have no idea. That weed killer sounds like a good idea. I know some stuff doesn't work to well.
  6. Wow I can't believe he passed away. I am not a huge reader as you can tell by my writing skills, but always liked his movies based around the books he wrote. I like books that have pop ups or big pictures with not much text
  7. Weird mine does that also. I send an email and the pictures look fine. When someone gets the pictures, they always complain that it's flipped. The house is coming along and looking nice.
  8. I am interested in trying the diamond bits also. I have been using Lenox and they are awesome. Interesting to see how Milwaukee will stand up. The fastback 2 knife should be out. I bought one at Home Depot about two weeks ago.
  9. DR99 you hit that on the head. We had kids and all the house work has slowed down, well not to mention the money aspect. Conductor you will have to show us the yards if we can make it down there. I love trains.
  10. Wow Conductor, that is a very nice house and sounds like the property and view are awesome. I like the style of the house, it just looks cool. I bought my home in 2003 with plans on fixing everything up. Here it is 2013 and I have only done the fireplace, Porch, Bathroom and a couple things outside. Well congratulations on the new purchase and adventure. I will have to come down sometime and sit and have a beer at your place to celebrate.
  11. I don't think they are bad blades, but we had one in a circular saw right out of the box and it cut like crap. We actually thought the saw sucked. Once we changed the blade, it was night and day. Also on the miter saw, the same thing happened. However I have used some on other Dewalt saws and they weren't too bad. Just not sure what happened to mine. I haven't used the Irwin blades. I really like Bosch and Diablo
  12. Wow, both very nice saw. I have both of them and love them both. The Bosch I have in my shop and love it because it doesn't take up much room. I have used it over and over with no complaints. The Dewalt I have on a stand and have taken that to different jobs. Again a great saw with no complaints, except the blade that came with the Dewalt was junk. I have noticed the dewalt seems to have a better cutting capacity and the motor doesn't get in the way like it does on the Bosch. Also the Dewalt has a very nice laser where the Bosch doesn't have one. I really don't use the laser that much, so not a big deal to me. The Bosch doesn't have the rails as a couple people all ready mentioned. Some people don't like the arm because they are use to the rails. Personally, nothing beats the Bosch arm, plus you can adjust it to make it tighter or move easier.
  13. Nice find. You will love it. I use mine all the time and it comes in so handy.
  14. Cool. Would like to check one out.
  15. I really like having a variable speed on my drills.
  16. It takes a long time. When I had to put my dog down, it sucked.
  17. Man that sounds like my dream. I would love to have something like that.
  18. That's awesome. How do you like the jacket? Have you seen the Milwaukee, if so how does it compare?
  19. Yeah I couldn't believe how much I rely on TV at night to settle down. I wasn't sure what to do with myself and no tv. My thoughts started to scare me.
  20. I heard you. My box is too small. I just built a shed and now that is too small.
