  1. Eh, The M18 High Demand has better rubber overmold

    UWO vs in/lbs

If you go on Dewalts european websites they will show the power output in NM which can be converted into inch/foot-pounds
  3. You brain goes well if I spend 25 dollars more its worth it because I get free shipping right! I will say Amazon has conditioned us well for free shipping though.
  4. That means you have 8 and 1/2 fingers right?
  5. Didn't you get screwed over also by the free tool deal because they send the bonus tool but didn't have the FV in stock?
  6. I wonder if they even got any Flexvolt in originally when it first came out? It took them 6 months do get restocked it seems like Dewalt didn't' allocate them shit for inventory
  7. The way I read it Sears can continue to do what it wants with the Craftsman brand and SBD can do their own thing also. Its kind of a convoluted arrangement. " Sears To Continue Developing, Sourcing & Selling Craftsman In All Sears Retail Channels Under Perpetual License Agreement. Translation: Sears can continue business as usual for Craftsman brand? Perpetual License Allowing Sears To Continue Selling In Sears-Related Channels (Royalty-Free For 15 Years, 3% Thereafter)." From Toolguyd
  8. Yea I just had some CPO flexvolt drama they finally decided to ship my miter saw but I don't really have the extra funds after the holidays to afford it. They should notify people that they were planning on processing orders now because peoples financial situation can change over 6 months. Seriously this was a the worst time they could have shipped it.
  9. That's what does me in on the KC tool of the day deals most of the time they don't qualify for free shipping, and because of free shipping and Amazon prime I can't deal with paying for shipping especially if its 1/2 or more the cost of the tool.
  10. I remember hearing that Armstrong was moving where the tools were made because there was an issue with a bunch of their tools being out of stock. I also thing part of the problem is those brands are not really marketed all that much. Look at how much marketing and buzz you hear about Grearwrench, but Armstrong and Allen Crickets. Proto doesn't really market much either but they positioned for institutional buyers more than anything.
  11. We have a similar idea of an all in one setup its sold by a company called Shop Smith but its ridiculously expensive. It costs multiple thousands of dollars
  12. It's pretty impressive how many tools they put on that little machine though
  13. My samsung washing machine plays a happy tune when it is done.
  14. All in one machines seem to be a big compromise, but most of use have zero experience with anything like the unit you linked to. I don't think it would pass American safety regulations. We don't even get the mitersaw/table saw units they sell in Europe. In the USA the idea seems to be affordable single task tools you can get a Portable Bosch Table saw for around $329 in the usa.
  15. I think they will have a hedge trimmer they have one with the 40v packs and those are bigger than the Flexvolt
  16. I believe the old 18v and 10v Kobalt was also Chervon. The corded tools are where I think the manufacture can vary
  17. Maybe they are only doing a 20v version because Flexvolt would be compatible anyways it just wouldn't be 60/120v depending on how they do things.

    Tool Masters

Not really impressed so far mostly just 10% off Which seems to happen fairly often also the power tool vendor is Acme tool which screws me over on sales tax so i really only get 4% off
  19. No I think the oem on Kobalt tools changes from tool to tool, and year to year.
  20. I think guys like the idea of a keyed chuck because they might have old bits
  21. Lions will still self discharge but even with 1/2 a charge companies do you should be ok from under voltage. The only company I heard having issues with under voltage were old Makita lxt packs and that only happened it you ran them down to empty.
  22. Like Jimbo mentioned make sure you keep you receipt as if you don't the base the warranty on the date code on the battery
  23. Ouch 18 dollar shipping isn't acceptable at all even with the sawzall
  24. I'm a whore for anything Knipex the Pliers wrench is awesome!!
