  1. The 40v tools have battery packs with more amp hours than flex volt at the moment. In 60v mode a FV pack is only 2ah on the 6ah pack and 3.0ah on the 9.0ah pack. That is not a great run time for a outdoor tool.
  2. Milwaukee pissed a few people of with the discontinuation with the V18 platform but the numbers were too little to really care about. Dewalt had the cordless market locked down hard back in the 18v xrp days. If you wanted cordless tools that were good you went for Dewalt most of the time. Makita got weird for a little bit not really releasing anything compelling for a few years, and Bosch lets be honest they are so slow moss could grow at their development offices.
  3. Yep Milwaukee was adding to the M18 line and Dewalt just launched the 20v line with just the basics. It took a good 3/4 years before the 20v Max line got decently filled out. The finish nailer and cordless caulk guns were tools Dewalt took their sweet time releasing.
  4. This forum used to have a bunch more forum topics till Conductor and Eric and different times merger and deleted things that didn't have any traffic or were not relevant. The big thing was the merger of the the TIA forum and the Dewalt owners group.
  5. We could just have a thread stickied on the TIA swap meet topic for reviews. We try to keep the number of topics to a minimum so you don't end up with dead areas of the forum.
  6. If you ever want cordless saws look at the M18 tools
  7. 7 hours with a 5ah battery that isn't bad I'm sure that's the 30k btu setting.
  8. The price isn't bad either $129 for the bare tool. http://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-18-Volt-Hybrid-Forced-Air-Heater-R860424B/301184551
  9. Wow Ridigd is really going crazy lately with the new releases of odd tools.
  10. I think its too weird of thing to consider buying to flip
  11. Dewalt made 2 big errors they were the last to convert to slide packs, and didn't offer an adapter till years later. That pissed a lot of people off, and gave people an out to try a different brand. Also you had post TTI Milwaukee releasing all sorts of new tools and offering promotions all the time with them. Milwaukee is still aggressive with promotions but they are not as good and prices have went up.
  12. I'm surprised lately with Ridgid that brand was asleep at the wheel 7 or so years ago when they launched the x4 line.
  13. Well that's because its Grainger. The other thing is the price isn't something crazy either its about what Ebay pricing is on those items.
  14. Looks more like Whrilpoo! That looks so nasty!!

Ridgid was kinda dead for a minute regarding new cordless tools. They just had the basics and that was it.
  16. Yea this for the guy that still wants to use pneumatic guns while still doing trim work but wants something super convenient. If you were invested in a ton of pneumatics this might be worth it.
  17. Well Bosch won't be that excited now after it was on Jimmy Fallons show

Is Milwaukee getting out of the lighting game or what? They are marking everything down
  19. If they could get Chervon or TTI to their cordless tools they could be on to something. If HF had something like a Ryobi plus line up but cheaper? That would really hurt HD
  20. The seem to be used on large beams and light masonry depending on the blade you use.
  21. I think it was @CATERPILLAR It's just weird seeing old stuff like that. Especially HF because it has a reputation the other way now.
  22. I was blown away by the guy that posted the scan of the old HF catalog with name brand tools in it!!! When did HF go the cheap made in china route?
  23. Jeez it was a long time ago but Home Depot used to have some stores around here open 24 hours that didn't last long though. I can only imagine they were getting robbed blind. I also remember back then the tool area was an actual caged in corral.
  24. Damn almost 700 dollars for the bare tool!!! Forgot how crazy tool prices get in other countries. We just don't do alligator saws in NA for some reason they look like they have some interesting uses.
