  1. Wow do you have a link for the ad?
  2. Yup got the push blocks just didn't use them on the video. Did do a face frame, the blocks work awesome. The jointer comes with two with the friction material. I might add a drop piece to act as an anchor when I pushe the stock through. Absolutely awesome machine!
  3. So....I'm stoked. I'm really, really stoked. This machine is a beast! The only adjustment needed was the fence was just a tiny bit off of 90 and was a piece of cake to adjust. The noise....I don't need hearing protection. Absolutely awesome!
  4. Live edge table with wrought iron spindle legs. Or bookend it and make an end table. Reduce the width of the split (will have some waste) add some mortise and tenons and make a nice breakfast knock table with live edge. Free floating book shelves with the live edge. That's a beautiful slab, I'll be glad to take it
  5. Nice little shop you've got going on there spencer. How are you liking that Fein? I got it too but it's for my Dad for Christmas.
  6. @NaluRash just back reading this post. Dude I really am happy for you with the new job! Nice tool belt set up too!
  7. That's right! I need a place for stickers darn it!!!!! My Dewalt top is getting a lot of attention I HAVE to get the bottom half now!!!
  8. I just asked my wife for an Occidental 5523 clip on leather holder. I feel inadequate because of you guys. Of course I wear a Hume leather belt all dat with about 20 pounds dos of crap on it but unfortunately none of my tools cut wood. Yet. Anyways, I saw a guy wearing one and thanks to my inability to keep track of my fast cap measures or Pica dry markers this is a natural progressive step to make me more efficient in the shop. Plus it looks cool.
  9. Jimbo I used to have the Autosense drill and it was a really good drill. One thing to pay attention to is how many good reviews these guys get. Certainly not trade tools but they make a really decent tool for the home owner in many cases.
  10. But all kidding aside I like the first one because I'm not a mechanic and the cabinet would be useful for power tool storage.
  11. I've got 60 board feet of flaming birch waiting to go in this baby!
  12. Well no video that thing weighed a ton. I had my buddy Guy come over to lift the jointer onto the body. I can't believe I got it into the shop myself but t am paying for it right now! Not assembled yet, I coated the whole thing in T9 and will buff it off tomorrow and app,y Renaissance wax and she'll be humming in no time!!!
  13. Is the fence pretty solid or does it seem flimsy to you Logan?

I've got two of these Ridgids. One crapped out this past winter, the other (older one) still goes strong. I just played around with the newer of the two and it seems to now work again. They are decent vacs but they come with undersized hoses of a cheaper quality. But for $40 you can't go wrong and my newer one is four years old, the other one is seven years old. If you register them, they carry a LSA.
  15. Welcome to the forum Joe. There is another thread on the acquisition in the forums but we really don't know what's going on. Lots of speculation though.
  16. Nice stuff Logan, how's the craftsman saw?
