I used my circle cutter for a table top on my Wife's new potting bench she made. Between the DC, the splinter guard, the circle cutter, you really cannot ask for a more enjoyable tool to use. I was grinning ear to ear cutting that hole out. My neighbor came over, he asked me to design a small wooden box for a music amplifier and I was demoing the Carvex for him and he was blown away. Just an incredible machine but yeah. It ain't cheap. That Makita is so well made, and in the UK as opposed to China, I could not see why someone would spend the case on the cordless Carvex. A couple of minor gripes but an amazing machine. No DC and the splinter guard is not cut out by the blade but is rather pre slotted so not quite as tight as the Carvex but what a machine! My last jigsaw was a Bosch AVS model and I did not like it at all. The blade change mechanics sucked. Great machine, super smooth, little vibration....just hated the blade change. I love my Bosch tools and use them regularly but that saw was not for me. Now the Bosch barrel grip 7.2ah? THAT is a FANTASTIC machine and would give any of the competition a run for their money!
