  1. Thanks NE.....looks like I'll be working some OT but not too much....40% off is one heck of a deal. I'll have it paid off in a couple of weeks with my tool money set aside.
  2. No problem Brian...if you want to order, check the link regularly. Call Bob Marino in NJ or Amy at Woodcraft in Maryland. They drop ship right to your door and from order to delivery it's about one week. These two are the best. Buying is a real pain in the A$& because people jump on this stuff so quick and the ordering is archaic so be patient. http://www.bobmarinosbesttools.com/ And Woodcraft Md. (301) 984-9033
  3. Wow. I didn't know it was there again! I will TRY to make that. I really missed out last year and was really happy you got to go. (Not to mention THANKYOU!). Anytime your up here just let me know, will tip a pint!
  4. I'm wondering if I can get that to go with my DW734? That I will have to look into.
  5. If you need a hand ordering, I have a couple of great contacts (Bob Marino in NJ and Amy Bender at Woodcraft in Maryland....really crazy trying to order off the list, they go so quickly. I've only seen the Kapex on twice and I refreshed the list today and it had just posted some think I got the only one). They do have a ton of cordless drills and jigsaws, some dust collectors and sanders.
  6. Thanks DR, they have a ton of stuff on there right now. http://www.festoolusa.com/power-tools/reconditioned/
  7. Same exact one. It is a 40% of set. Regopit is going to love this when he sees it. Gotta get that guy up here to give it a whirl! From what I understand it is a store return with no use. I should have it in a couple of days and will post some pics. I bought a refurbished Midi to go with it for DC as my workshop is TINY.
  8. Thanks Mike, this is a REALLY good deal on a Festool tool. If you have the chance to peruse the 40% lineup it is a great way to get into the tool line. I'd really start with a Midi or Mini dust collector and a TS saw or sander.
  9. Thanks for the help in this decision guys. I was really putting a lot of thought in this one. But....not really
  10. Sorry KWC! Just scored the Kapex! 40% off Recon! WooHoo
  11. Great idea Sarbatche and welcome to the forum!
  12. That cool to see and you can get one cheaper on Amazon. I have the Bosch PB360 and love it. Heavy and big but hey....they shot the thing multiple times from a catapult. It's gotta be heavy. Like the song says....He ain't heavy.,.he's my brother.....(yeah baby yeah!!! Austin Powers)"
  13. Thanks NE, and that was exactly what I was trying to convey, the LS1216l. I called Bob today when the next recon list was posted but no Kapex' on the release. I'm thinking I'll go with a different brand. I was looking over the specs to the Jet 10" SCMS but it looks a lot like the Craftsman and am really Leary about dropping that kind of coin on a redone Craftsman. There aren't a whole lot of reviews on the Jet. I've also looked at the Ridgid 10" SCMS with dual, lasers and light but my last experience with my Ridgid left a bad taste. I owned a 7-1/4" SCMS single bevel craftsman and it was a nice little saw but I only paid $90 for that lil tyke, no rush but I will be doing a fairly big bedroom remodel upstairs for my wife and will need a saw for flooring but I've got a few weeks to agonize over this. I was thinking about the axial glide too. I think in end it will probably be the DW717 10" but I really like the tall fences on the Makita. Problem is just what you said in regards to the 1016l. I play around with a 1216 at Brocks here in Rochester and I really like the detents and the bevel on it. DC is a big issue and I scored a Midi on 40% recon JUST for my new saw and Dewalt planer (the other one is for my TS55REQ, Domino, Carvex and sanders. I really appreciate your input, Regopits too. This is a big decision for me. I want the Kapex but $1400 is $1400
  14. Wow, that looks, like a pretty slick box. Curious how the quality of sound will be but the price is great and it looks tiny.
  15. Hey NE, what about the LS121 or do you think the same problems? I like the idea of the four rails for space limitations.
  16. Thanks for that NE, I was REALLY looking at the Makita to be quite honest and the reviews are either fully for it or garbage. I've seen the Kapex on the recon list but missed it both times. And truthfully I can't see spending the cash but.... Plus my wife just bought me the Domino 500 so.... Probably going to go Dewalt, I'm really looking at the DW717 and the 780 and still the Milwaukee.
  17. They could probably make the ID and send you arts break down and maybe a copy of the old users manual. Old tools are great. Especially when they say "Made in the USA".
  18. Actually I am in agreement, that's why I said an older one. The speed control threw me off but other than that....e replacement is an awesome site with super fast shipping. Have you tried emailing a photo to Milwaukee? I bet they will have an answer before the pic fully downloads. They are really helpful and for a small fee you might have the parts shipped out slicker than snot. I've dealt with Milwaukee on repairs and they are truly fantastic.

    universal ton

    Yup. And temperature.
  20. I've got the Festool Carvex barrel grip and love it. Truthfully I had the Bosch AVS Top handle and an older B&D top handle before that. I really like the barrel grip but it does take a little getting used to. And you can use it upside down comfortably.
  21. I agree, looks like an older version of the 6509. I bet you should be able to get parts on ereplacement.

    universal ton

Well....one Kilogram is equivalent to 2.204 pounds so..... Assuming you Europeans go by a metric ton you would be in the presence of 2204 pounds. But to be quite honest Claudio, I am ignorant on the difference between Euro and American so I make the assumption that you use a metric ton as opposed to our ton which is 2000 pounds. I hope this helps my brother!
