  1. I have that EZ light wiz bang and have had it since last summer. The spring assembly loosens up really quick resulting in the light turning on and off. Really bright but I was using it today at work looking under vehicles and the darn thing kept flashing a ton. Was driving me nuts! Super bright, light and the magnet / clip is great but it drives me bonkers.
  2. Budweiser?!?!?!?!?!? Seriously?!?!?!?!?!?! What the heck?!?!?!?!?!? Thanks for the solid advice guys. I really appreciate the input and I'll check on that deal Chad. I am honestly the most annoying person I know when buying tools. I him and haw all day, watch tons of reviews or read them and like to physically try stuff out. I must drive Samantha nuts with this. I want to buy one time though (at least till I get bored)
  3. Yeah I've been invited in the past to go with the pipes and drums band (I don't play just know a couple of members) but....that was another lifetime ago. I'm hoping we can go next year this time. Not so sure how I feel about warm Guinness but if it's Guinness I'll try it! Thanks for the heads up about the saw and light. I'm really trying to figure out what I want (Kapex....but cmon, no way in heck, Samantha wants me to get it....I don't want to spend 1400?!?!?!?!?!?!) and Dewalt (yeah I know) looks like a viable option. I've been looking at the 782 (no light at all nor any option for one), the 780 ($600 looks awesome though) and the 717 (10"). Milwaukee? Maybe. Looks AWESOME, but two hundred more that the Dewalt. Makita....1016l or 1216l but man, mixed reviews up the whazoo, people love it or hate it. I've even considered and still think about the Ridgid 10" MS255SR. I really wanted the Bosch slider but no light option is a pain in the butt, especially in my shop.
  4. Oh and one more thing, they still have the TS55 saw kit available.
  5. They sold them really quickly guys, right now there are a couple of drills and a couple of air powered sanders on sale. Supposedly they will update inventory Thursday. The sale goes u til November. I've bought the OF2000 router, the OF1400 router, an ES125 sander kit, the CXS drill, and a Domino tenon kit in the last two months this has been going on (10-20% off savings). All but the CXS looked brand new. The CXS looked like it may have been a store display.
  6. . Got to love a lady that loves Guinness. My friends cannot get over the fact that a predominantly non drinker type like me LOVES Guinness. So do you like your 718 for finish work? Also is the XPS light the same that comes with the other 780 saw!
  7. Now that looks like a happy wife Regopit!!!!!
  8. It's too bad DR, that's a heck of a price on the TS55REQ and remember they come with the track and gaurd.
  9. That's my problem too Regopit. Too responsible. I will say she is really pushing me but I am thinking about getting the Dewalt 780. I was going to go with a Bosch but no lighting is actually a big deal for me as my shop is in the base, met. Still, $1400 is $1400 and we just got married. I'd like to take her to Ireland next year and I can get the Dewalt for 460 reconditioned.
  10. Dude, you don't know the half of it. Just before we got married she bought the Domino DF500! Then one of the guys saw me there and said..."man! You brought your fiancé? She won't let you buy anything!" I just laughed.
  11. Oh and I've got the TRD Off-road edition, not that I will four wheel with it. I keep my baby clean. She don't look good muddy. Goes awesome in the snow, good clearance and for the occasional trip down a class six road it's like it's meant to driving over boulders.
  12. And I'll give Chevy kudos on looks too. The new trucks look beautiful. Especially that concept but....burn me once, burn me twice.....I'm sure they've stepped up to the plate but vehicles ain't cheap, especially now. I'd like to see Chevy (in my eyes...this is like, who likes Obama and who doesn't....when it comes to brands people get really hot) step up to the plate but Chevy is still not trusted by me. I will say though, my friend Ed bought a new GMC Four door truck and that thing is absolutely gorgeous. Pure work horse and he has a small farm and needs a truck so he bought this one and seems pretty happy with it. He's had it for a year, he bought it in October of 2013 like I did (model year 2014) and hasn't complained and I know he's got more that the 8500 miles ove got on mine because he works it on the weekend going to farm supply so I'll wait and see. Maybe they will finally show me they are good.
  13. It's funny but true. I will say my Tundra dwarfs everything around and it can tow my wife's two horse, two axle trailer loaded with no problems. The cost of the Tacoma vs the coast of the Tundra was screwed up. Very slight change. Factor in the cab size vs. the Tacoma or even my last Ram (which I LOVED), I can fit four two hundred plus pound guys along with gear in my double cab with tons of room. It's just not worth the small savings and negligible cost of fuel savings (seriously 2-5 gpm) for a truck that cannot haul as much or carry as many people or tow nearly enough. Plus....I've got a back up camera with lines outlining maximum and minimum distance with the gate (lift assist) up or down superimposed on the screen. I can back that thing up like a fireman backing up a ladder truck.
  14. Okay, so you got the 718...does that have the light for the work piece?
  15. Wow. Regardless, my Tundra is a wee bit bigger, even more so than my last Ram (2012). And made in Texas. I looked at the 14 Ram's and they are making them in Mexico now!!!! WTH?!?!?!?!? As far as Chevy, they are dead to me. To many problems when I had them and although my Dad's 18 year old Chevy runs, he is always having problems with it and he always has.
  16. I drove the Colorado a couple of years ago. I did not fit. My knees banged everything in the darn thing. Plus the two Chevys I've had....transmission.....electrical wiring. Not a big fan
  17. Dude....seriously. I went to Woodcraft today and played around with it. My wife told me to buy it. What is wrong with me?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
  18. Thanks for that info DR and cwebby. By any chance do you know what the footprint will be? I'm buying my next saw as a predominantly stationary tool and would like to keep it as close to the wall as my micro shop permits.
  19. Awesome posting and I love Barnaby. The guy is a freakin' riot.
  20. It'd be nice if the "new" tools are released in the USA first or at least at the same time so we are not stuck waiting to see what comes across the pond after a couple of months or a year. Kudos to Dewalt for making tools here again too.
  21. I actually am. My Ridgid will be replaced. I was thinking about a 12" Ridgid but the older Milwaukee looks pretty sweet.
  22. anybody have experience with this sliding miter saw? Good, bad etc?
  23. MOPAR baby!!!!!! Dodge is where it's at....unless you can go Toyota!
