  1. The new Hammer drill I bought comes with a hard case....of course I don't have it yet but the picture does show a traditional cheap plastic dewalt box. It'll go in my small tough system case though.
  2. Yeah the one I am referring to is a tools box not disimiliar to the Toughsystem small box. It is a little taller, somewhat narrow but really well built. I tried to attach a photo from my iphone but I have to resize it and can't figure out how to!
  3. They Ridgid one is really nice. Same type of structural foam, the latch is a metal bar on either side and it looks solidly built. Plus like I said made in Israel and I happen to love those guys and gals. As far as HD Rochester NH....they have the small and large Dewalt tough system boxes but still NO TStaks yet! They also have the mounting bars and speaking first hand about the quality of the box....that thing is SOLID. I'm really impressed with it. The latches work great, the storage bins are nice plus the lid cavity is a really cool idea. I wish the small compartments had a better means of securement as they are cheap plastic and slide and click over a lip but they is really my only gripe. That and I only have one right now
  4. Hahahahahaha chasing after Festool! That's awesome! If it was solidly built and not $95 I'd consider it!
  5. I'm with you DR. I did not like my M18 recip. No adjustable shoe, not too powerful either. I'm really thinking about getting that M12 Fuel though!
  6. Yeah I'm with you Jason, last winter was a real be-hotch. I ended up putting a three foot wide plank of 3/4 plywood but.... My back was killing me. I'm 44 I'm supposed to have somebody do this for me!
  7. I'll let you know for sure! Plus I was down in my shop looking at the bulk head when I saw one of my stair aprons was cracked. I'm going to buy five, screw two sets of two and have one run down the middle. I'll be using my Festool TI15 impactor to do this but my hammer drill will be used to drive some tapcons into the foundation with a piece of PT as an anchor point for my new stairs. I am going to buying four tons of pellets for this winter and need a strong set of stairs to support me and my new pellets.....all 160, 50lb bags of them going to down there! This'll be a great test for this Dewalt! I'm actually stoked!
  8. Yeah BigMike....I found it for 230 new and put and offer in for $175 thinking he he'd tell me to blow. I closed the eBay app and my iPhone chirped like two minutes later telling me to pay for it! Well there you go. I had to shuffle money from one account to another but for the brushless hammer, 101 charger and two 4.0 batteries brand new.....well that's a deal any way you cut it!
  9. C'mon baby....if you got it flaunt it! Kinda like those walmart girls in their Juicy shorts with the overhang. That's why fat chicks have small feet....sun can't get to em!
  10. Geez DR.....sticky keyboard?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
  11. I will say when I go back to a cordless recip....Fuel baby.....Fuel!
  12. No DR....Team Green Baaaaaaby! But....til Festool gets their heads out of their hineys I still need a hammer drill for some heavy work and after watching the TiA review, I figured hey.....I bash me all the time, let's give me a go. So I am hopeful this will work great but I still have my trusty M12s and a XC battery and work light in case I decide to piece meal a few of Big Reds line back.
  13. Yeah, I guess if they wanted to compete with Big Red, this would seem to be a logical step! Yukka Yukka Yukka! Just kidding....I actually got the new Dewalt DCE995 Brushless Hammer on eBay. It should be here Tuesday and I paid $175 for the whole kit...new... 4.0 batteries.....I'm looking forward to this. Especially when I put my new basement window and storage shelves in the basement for my Festool Systainers!
  14. Good for you! Bosch makes an AWESOME jigsaw and I use their blades in my Festool Carvex. Smart too on your jig! If you get a chance post it so the guys and gals here can copy yours too!
  15. I cannot say I have experience with this but....I did have the brushless Makita LXDT01 before I off loaded all of my cordless Makita tools and that was actually a really nice and light impact gun.
  16. Seriously though.....a good jigsaw (like the Carvex) with a guide (can make one yourself or buy one relatively cheaply) and you'll be right as rain while you fish naked!
  17. My friend....what you need is a Festool Carvex.
  18. I'm really not switching, I just got a smoking deal that i couldn't turn down. Plus I always wanted to try one.
  19. I actually bought the small tough system box. It is NOT small! Plenty of,room for a couple of 18v guns, batteries and charger and the structural foam construction is super tough. Really impressed.
  20. Honestly Javier, as a beginner woodworker and a DIY type, I'm staying M12. I will say...,believe it or not....I scored a great deal on a new DCF885 impactor with a 4.0 battery so that'll be my foray into the 18v lineup. My Festool drill driver and impactor are 15v (14.4) and have TONS of power. We'll comparable to an 18v but to expand my line into larger voltage tool lines seems to be overkill when the 12 and 15 v tools I have are doing some pretty heavy duty work for me.
  21. I have had this tool for a couple of years now and really like it. The battery life is good, love the fuel gauge and it's comfortable enough to use. I will say....brushless, and LED light, a molded grip and a tooless change would make me love it. It doesn't have them so......mew. As far as battery life goes, I only use my 3.0ah battery so it hasn't been a problem. I use Rockwell blades and most notably I have been using it as polisher. Nice review Javier.
