  1. Well they do get to cross the equator and dress up like girls so.....win win?
  2. First off....that's a friggin steal for a hardwood bench. Secondly, I just watched a special on this very issue. Absolutely amazing stuff, it's hard to believe this happens quite regularly. Worst off are the poor crewmen on the vessels. No pay and in some cases they cannot make port because of the shipping company having gone defunct!
  3. I never thought of it from the perspective before. Smart.
  4. I cannot speak to Milwaukee as I don't own any, I got rid of mine a while back, but I am really impressed with the Flexvolt saw I bought. It's definitely on par with my corded Skilsaw.
  5. I hear you. My Makita dual port is awesome though the new quick chargers with the flexvolt seem to be pretty decent though I just started using them.
  6. Ha. Who needs a generator with four of them plugged in? I could power the house for a while
  7. That is friggin awesome. Thanks for sharing dude!
  8. Sounds like you have a great combo there Comp, Festool tools seem to be manufactured differently so maybe it's just a difference between tool brands? What might work for a Milwaukee might not work for a Festool but based on my experience with both my Festool and Bosch tools I think it's a vacuum issue.
  9. The more ducts means the more air going through the pad. More suction through more ports makes the sander jump. It's actually pretty common Comp. One of the quickest diagnosis for this with the sanders is to adjust the flow. That's what makes these sanders so good.
  10. I don't own a Milwaukee sander Comp so beats me. The Festool sanders have many many dust ports that are vented through the machine so this is probably the issue, that is why the Festool sanders have such a great reputation for dust collection.
  11. Oops wrong quote! This was for @khariV
  12. So the problem with using a shop vac is simply this.....you cannot adjust the volume of the intake whereas on most of the D.C. units out there you can. The reason you are having such a hard time with the vibration is the inability to control the vacuum CFM. That's the thing with Bosch, Dewalt, Fein, Makita and Festool units is that ability to adjust the volume allowing a controlled sanding of the product. When sanding with my Bosch or Festool sanders, if I crank the CFM up I get a very hard sanding and the machine jumps around a lot. Try using the dust bag that came with the unit. If there is still a problem then you should send it back however this sander is based on the ETS125 just upgraded so it is a really proven machine with newer features. Hope this helps bro!
  13. I don't blame you dude. A hundred bucks is a hundred bucks. And hobbies are hobbies!
  14. First I have heard of toolnut releasing this information early. Toolnut placed their order for x amount of tools as did all of the distributors. They then were allowed to announce pre orders pursuant to Festool direction. That is where the screw up happened. I'm not sure if you have any experience with Festool but this has happened before. Festool did not provide the tools necessary for distribution so no, the seller did not screw up. This is just like CPO selling Dewalt tools that they had ordered then Dewalt had a multitude of shipping disasters.
  15. I didn't get the X2 bro but it is really awesome. Best cordless one I've ever used! I will say my Milwaukee corded recip is still awesome but this one blows my old m18 one OUT OF THE WATER!
  16. You should get the recip Joe. It's choice
  17. I initially bought mine through Toolnut then cancelled the order and bought it through Bob Marino. I got it right after the release. I will say, this has NOTHING to do with Toolnut. This has EVERYTHING to do with Festool and poor planning. Now, I know I'm the "Festool Snob" and yes, I have a sizeable investment in my blue and green tools and for good reason, they are the best. But Festool has made some really dumb business choices when it comes to things like this and the Kapex discount program. Poor marketing and not being able to keep up with demand is the problem here. The Pro 5 was a super smart idea that Festool had. It was introduced here to increase a week market in the USA. Festool is really big elsewhere but in the US market, not as good. Their tools are proven construction site and finish work capable and everybody know this. This was a sound way to get nay Sayers....and yes, we have a few of them here, into buying a fantastic tool for a steal but talk about shooting yourself in the foot. AGAIN! If your going to have a sound, actually great business plan, try PLANNING. In the interim, for those who did get their sander, remember, use D.C. with the tool. It's just "ignant" not too!
  18. I love how they'd put a TV on the list. That's actually pretty cool.
  19. Dude. Why you gotta let a bro's secret out?
  20. That is a heck of a deal bro and I have that recip, it's a beast power wise and nice and light.
  21. I can run it by Eric, but I've always though the in the shop sub forum was fitting that.
  22. 9 amps. Hummina hummina hummina hummina
  23. It's alright Mike! I've got 5 so I'm in the minority too!
