  1. Im no computer expert by any means but I swear by apple products. Some have mentioned your paying a premium price for the name but I disagree. I bought my macbook back in 2008 when they first came out with the aluminum body, I believe its the 5.1. Thats going on 8 years and the thing is still just as fast and capable as it was when I first bought it. I dont know, maybe its just me, but any pc whether it be laptop or desktop I have ever owned has had a short shelf life. Constantly requiring updates, this and that and then slowing down and eventually crashing. The only pc's I see around that are older and still operating well are ones owned by people who know how to take them apart and fix themselves. That said tho, a mac's cost is twice that of a similar spec pc. So thats to be taken into consideration also.
  2. Very cool. Cant imagine the price tag or time put into that one
  3. I dig it. Looks like one hell of a toy! Ive always been a real fan of the 4runners, any generation.
  4. Very cool. What a shame to see such a neat part of tool history sit there and rot away tho
  5. Looks great! I like the see through drawers
  6. those diablo blades look promising. Ive cut a few branches with Milwaukee's "the axe" sawzall blades and they hold up pretty well. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-9-in-5-8-TPI-Sawzall-The-Ax-Reciprocating-Saw-Blades-5-Pack-48-00-5026/100019437
  7. Would definitely like to learn more in electrical. I can do the very basics but any further than that I really feel uncomfortable unless I have someone who knows what they're doing helping me. Im very lucky as my job provides training and schooling in pretty much every department (plumbing, mechanical, welding, machining, and electrical). I even get to dabble a little with smaller wood framing projects. Electrical is the only one I have kind of put off. We run 480 in our facility so there is literally no room for mistakes or your fried. Dont want to die before im 30, especially at that place haha.
  8. I agree and disagree. I bought a set of screwdrivers from them and while most of them have sort of held up ok, alot of the philips have been stripped from the screw heads haha. Literally turned a screw and twisted the philips head like play dough. I think the whole set of i think 10 drivers was maybe $8 tho so yeah its so cheap you dont really care if they get damaged. But at the same time, I still feel like I wasted money even if it wasnt much.
  9. Welcome to TIA. Its a great place to get info and additional opinions
  10. I was thinking the same thing. Usually people do this if they grudge race or something along those lines and don't want people knowing what they're capable of running. But then they are showing the printed slips right after, kinda weird. Is it just me or does anyone else notice the trans slipping like hell? lol Freaking bad ass car tho none the less!!
  11. Hmm it really depends who is asking to borrow. My father can take what ever the hell he wants. That man's loaned me and im sure has lost many tools by me in my younger days, so thats a no brainer. There are very few friends who I trust enough to use my tools.
  12. I love my porter cable. Cuts nice, the stock blade isnt bad at all. No laser, I hate cutting with lasers. Came with the saw, rip fence and hard case for under $100
  13. Building houses?? Dont you mean fortress?!!
  14. just took a trip to my local HD and they have the floors lined with black friday stuff. All of it was under black tarps like its a secret what it is lol.
  15. I just think the HD staff near me are more knowledgable than the staff at my local Lowes. And the HD layout is wayyy better than any lowes ive ever been in. Can never seem to find what im looking for as easily.
  16. Im not sure how dewalt blades are shaped but I buy dremel blades for my milwaukee and they work great.
  17. Good choice with the Sony and getting 4k. I believe the picture is a world of a difference. Unfortunately we are limited to what we can view in 4k as of right now though. Also, im surprised by all the Samsung hate. I just got myself a 55'' led 4k and its picture is amazing after being calibrated. And you are able to turn off the "soap opera effect" in the more advanced settings.
  18. Really cool!! My neighbor does a lot of wood working like this out of his garage, I really need to accept his offer and learn some.
  19. Yeah I'd stay away from any aftermarket battery for the sake of my tools. Id rather just spend the extra and be safe.
  20. Holy cow, this has to be in a state that doesnt require an annual inspection. If it was, that mechanic doesnt deserve his job. Thats incredible.
  21. Just picked up a new toy to add to the stable. Just couldn't pass it up. 97 Cobra vert, 90,000 miles and in excellent shape. Bone stock besides a drop in k&n filter and exhaust (high flow cats, x pipe and flowmasters) Sounds BEAST!! Nothing in my opinion beats the sound of these 4 valve mod motors. Cant wait to start making it "mine". First step is lowering it, looks like a 4x4 on the stock suspension. Even the wife approved at first sight!
  22. Just made my decision easy. Told the wifey thats what I want for Christmas. Done and done!!
