    Paintball

Any of you into paintballing?? I just spend a weekend up in the Pocono mountains (PA) for my bachelor party and they took me paintballing at Skirmish. Last time I did this was maybe 14 years old?? So its been a while. I seriously cant put into words how much fun it was. Seriously if you havent tried it, get some buds together and go.
  2. Welcome!! You've come to the right place if your a tool junkie.
  3. Thanks for the tips. As much as I want to just take a recip and sledge to it, Ill control myself and do it properly haha. And yes I determined the wall is not weight bearing.
  4. yeah I especially like how it can detect low voltage also.
  5. Oh and it took her 2 days to find a new project. Making a half wall in the kitchen where the little breakfast table is. Im not complaining. Gives me an opportunity to make up reason to buy more tools!!
  6. Kitchen still needs a new back splash but it wasnt in the budget for now. That'll get done in the near future, probably after our wedding. Now shes talking about getting new living room furniture. I dont blame her but damn i need time to reload my bank accounts lol.
  7. Its not much, but it keeps me from getting shocked.... and yelled at by the wife.
  8. If I could start again, I wouldnt so much change brands. I wish I would have waited for the m12 fuel stuff to come out instead of jumping on the m18 brushed deal I found. Smaller tools with pretty much just as much power. I dont do heavy drilling etc, so the m12 fuel would have been perfect. That said, Im still extremely happy with my brushed m18 stuff and I would have stuck with Milwaukee. So far im very happy with their products. Dewalt was another choice when I was in the market. Went team red because I grew up as a kid around with construction, plumbing, heating, etc in my family and thats the majority of what I saw being used. Plus you cant beat what they have available in their lineup.
  9. If you dont mind forking out about $100 or find one on clearance like I did, you wont be disappointed. Its really a nice added feature to have.
  10. Very simple. It isnt the touch screen model with all the bells and whistles, so it literally has a green screen and like 7 buttons. All basic functions of your plane jane thermostat, just now has the ability to be adjusted from an app.
  11. For the most part. My old one ran on batteries, so i had to designate a common wire from the furnace to the new thermostat. The wires are all there so I literally just tied one into power.
  12. I just picked up from Target, a new Honeywell home thermostat with wifi built in. Found this gem for $30 on clearance originally $130. I couldnt pass it up. Quickly got it installed and I have to admit, its pretty awesome. It isnt the touch screen model, which is a little overkill if you ask me. But I can now operate and change temp settings from anywhere, all with my phone. Which is especially useful around this time of year when the mornings are 30 degrees and by noon its 70 out. Also when the old lady cranks the heat or ac while im not home, I can go ahead and change it back Muahahah!!! Best thing since sliced bread
  13. Thanks guys, and thank you also for the advise. Im learning all this as I go. Best way to get good at something is to just jump in and do it. Its nice to be a member on a forum full of people who do this for a living or even a diy like myself, that can feed me their 2 cents and help me along the way.
  14. You all know that feeling. When a project is finally finished and you get to sit back, crack open a cold one, and enjoy what you sacrificed time, blood and sweat to accomplish. It feels great. Some of you followed along with my tile project I have been spending the past few months of my free time on. I finished that a few weeks ago like i said in my other thread. But now all the trim work, painting, cleaning, and all finishing touches are finally finished. Like I said, its really a good feeling. Now, back to my beer before the misses thinks up another project for me. Cheers!
  15. I borrowed a buddies Metabo and it seemed like a nice grinder, but the dewalt shroud I bought didnt fit it. That vac dust shroud was about $60 alone, i couldnt believe it. Had to use my fathers corded dewalt. Im looking to see if that shroud will work on a milwaukee cordless grinder since that is already my battery platform. If i go another brand ill just buy a dewalt corded since I know for a fact it fits.
  16. thank you, Ill measure the shroud tomorrow and see if its the same

    New Phone

    Stainless?? Even better
  18. Ive been eyeing up this thing for a while now and want to pull the trigger. First, id like to find out if this dewalt dust shroud I bought will fit on the milwaukee. Anyone know if the shaft sizes of the milwaukee and the dewalt are the same?? The part on the shaft where the guard is held on. The dust shroud wasnt cheap by any means so If it wont fit on the fuel, I guess ill just end up buying a corded dewalt.

    New Phone

Very cool. Ill have to look into that watch. I also hated the fact that all the smart watches looked like little miniature iphones on your wrist. I like a watch that looks like a watch. Hows the quality on the lg? Is it plastic?
  20. Finally had time to finish the powder room and grout the rest of the floor!! Damn that took forever but totally worth it. All I have left to do now is nail the new trim pieces in place and tuck the carpet and im all set to go!
  21. thanks for the advice, much appreciated.. Im going to just do the powder room today since that has a doorway I can stop under and I can finally get everything all put back together and usable. Then ill see if I can grab a buddy to help knock out the rest of the floor next weekend.
  22. Ok brothers, i need advice. I want to get this grouting done asap. Question is, since it is such a big area im working with, alone, would it be ok to grout in a section one day, then another section the next day? Or will i run into issues grouting into an already cured grout line? My main concern is getting the powder room and laundry room done first. Then worry about the kitchen and hallway later.
  23. finally found some time to work a little more on the project. All tile is layed thank god. Now all i have left is grouting, installing new trim work, and putting the powder room vanity and toilet back in. It sucks working so much and having such little time to do your own projects. It seems like this project is forever going.
  24. Same, ive never personally liked any of the compact trucks. There just aren't enough pro's and too many cons. Gas mileage isn't much better at all, cant haul as much, too cramped for me (6'2''). I guess the only thing they really have going for them is theyre easier to park and a tiny bit cheaper purchase price. I couldn't imagine not being in a full size. I have the Harley f150 and freaking love it. Full time awd and still average 14-15 mostly city driving. Trucks hold their resale value really really well also.
  25. Jeeps are cool, but be prepared to spend a lot of time in the shop. Their reliability isn't there in that department. BUT like i said, they are freakin cool. I just would never own one as a primary vehicle. If the cost of a new full size is swaying you from staying in a truck, check out the new chevy colorado or its brother gmc canyon. You can grab one of these mid sized trucks for a decent price probably comparable to a wrangler. And that keeps your ability to haul plywood and such when need be.
