  1. What do you guys think of the ryobi tss102l. 10 inch sliding single bevel?? At $170 it seems to be the way to go for a smaller budget miter that doesnt get used all the time.
  2. I really don't like how phones have taken over people's lives, including my own. My poor unborn children will never know what its like to run home after school and call their friends to hang out from a house phone.
  3. That is really awesome. Sucks its about $1500, from what I saw doing a quick google search.
  4. Thanks again for the kind words. I havent had a chance to do any more work. On top of work and snow plowing season, I also just got back home from a cruise in the bahamas. First one ever and I cant seem to get my land legs back haha. Hopefully this weekend I will have something updated to take more pictures of.
  5. Wow comp, thats terrible. Im sorry that happened to you. As for what boots I wear, I have a pair of Timberland Pros for home and Hytest footrests for on the job.
  6. Nice find comp! Tough choice between the skid steer and the excavator but I ended up opting for the skid steer. Will fit better in my garage haha
  7. Hamma Mamma. Send her number my way. Im sure the fiance wouldnt mind having a little help around the house to finish up some projects!
  8. Thanks man! Yeah it saved me a TON of mulahh doing it myself, plus the satisfaction of sitting back and seeing what I was able to learn.
  9. Thanks for the compliments guys!! Prep took a lot of time, about 12-14 hours of removing the old floors (there were 3) and using a diamabrush on my grinder and then finishing up with a 4 inch scraper. Got the middle tiles done in about 6 hours and all the cuts done and layed in another 8 hours the next day. Haha the pooch wasnt allowed on the first floor that weekend. I had her supervising from the top of the staircase. Yes with the way I layed out the tiles before to get an idea, there was a full tile against the wall and a small cut along the carpet. I really like how I ended up doing it, it has a much better fit and finish. As for grout i have not purchased anything yet. Hoping to get to that on my next days off. Ill have to check out this Mapei Ultracolor you speak of. Ive never done grout work. I hear it isnt hard, just time consuming. As always, Ill just take my time and get the feel for it.
  10. A little while ago I started a thread inquiring about tile layouts. Well, I made a decision and damn am I happy with the way its turned out so far. Here are some during and after pics. Still not completely finished. I still need to grout and also tile into the powder and laundry rooms, but the bulk of the work is finished. Overall, I am beyond happy with how it turned out. Completely changed the look of the rooms. Now once the other rooms are finished and grouted, just need to do the trim and paint and im all set!!
  11. Welcome!! Bucks County here. What parts you from?

  13. Thats some nice work and a really nice house, welcome!
  14. I did a quick search and came up with nothing. Is there a way to send our support to Dan and Eric for giving us this amazing forum and working as hard as they do to provide us with updates on the things we love? Im sure many of us would like to send something, anything at all to help support this forum.

    Landscape

I wouldnt till in the grass and weeds. We did this in my fathers garden we built 2 years ago and he had a huge issue with them growing back in.
  16. Thanks for the responses. Im not looking into buying one of either, I was just trying to understand the differences.
  17. Better filtration and having to change the filters less frequent?
  18. Whats the difference?? Does the extractor filter out smaller particles?? Clog less often? Whats different besides the major price difference?
  19. ahh thats my verizon cable, thats another project when the weather gets nicer.
  20. Completed this this past August. The before pictures are horrible, but it gives you an idea of how bad the back of the house was looking. Removed 3 out of control trees and replaced the old cracked up concrete patio with a nice ep henry one. I cant take all the credit for the work. I had my cousin who is a pro hardscaper helping me and teaching me as we went along. Learned enough from this rear project to feel comfortable on my own come time to do the front patio. Let me tell you, this job was a real PITA. Sucks living in a town home and not being able to access the rear with any kind of machinery. All the work was performed by hand, removing the old and carrying in the new. Sorry for the huge pictures i couldnt find a way to scale them down. Here is the front patio i took on myself. Turned out pretty nice. I want to find some nice chairs and a table to sit out on and next spring im putting a garden in front of it with something to cover the hideous gas meter.
  21. Laying on concrete slab so i don't need cement board, i have a multi tool to cut jambs if needed, I bought around 20% more tile specifically for the chance of 45 degree layout. Only thing im unsure of is the transition. There is a T there now with the old floor. I would like it to be flush. Ill figure it out, Ill be fine. I also have more than enough contacts for help if I need it. Rather learn my mistakes the hard way and then learn how to fix it or what i did wrong, than hire someone for a butt load of unnecessary money and learn nothing but how to open my wallet every time I want an improvement in my home. Sorry if i seem to be giving attitude, Ive never been the kind to pay someone to do something I can do or learn how to do myself. Even if I did end up hiring a pro, id be a bother to him because Id be right next to them asking a million questions and doing the work for them.
  22. Cant learn anything if you hire out everything.
  23. I like this box. My local store had one set up, drawers slide nice. Seems to be of decent quality, especially for the price. I just wish they had a black one with yellow lettering
